Sad to hear about GT hanging up his Mic. He did a turn for a group I ran a few years ago. Asked him how much he wanted for the talk and he said don't worry about it I'm pleased to contribute. He did a great presentation, I emailed a couple of days later to thank him and ask his favourite tipple. Within a week a bottle on Tanquery No ten arrived at the studios, then had an email response saying 'the Eagle has landed' top bloke GT and whoever the BBC puts in next will struggle to fill those shoes with his knowledge.

I reckon there are plenty of level headed fair minded people on this forum who will give unbiased views on any local team if given the chance to take on his job.
