Up till now JB has wanted "ball playing" centre halfs, hence one of the reason Alfie left. Do we think he is going to change and bring in no nonsense defenders that just "get rid" ofthe ball? Yeah that’s the problem and it’s hard to find decent ball playing defenders at this level. I’ll be happy with one of each. An old school big no nonsense centre half alongside someone like Gibson.

Not sure if FFP will be an issue. but apparently he's got a Liverpudlian relative somewhere so we're quids in.

Sounds like Collins will be off this summer from JB post match comments, that they he didn't want to play him as he "felt that with what Azza's what got at stake" he might well pick up an injury.

22-year-old central midfielder Ryan Stirk has caught the eye over the past couple of years. He had a promising loan spell last season with Mansfield and has impressed this season at Bromley with two consecutive Player of the Month awards at the club. Capped by Wales from u16-u21 level, he is out-of-contract at Birmingham City this summer and could be a smart pick up for a club in L1 to develop. Attachment Deleted

I’d be more than happy to let Collins go for £3m+ plus add-ons to reinvest into the squad tbh Yeah I probably agree with that. I think £3-3.5M would be a realistic price. I was thinking about this today, we sold Barry Hayles 25 years ago now for about £2.2M I recall, which was a 3rd Division record transfer at the time I believe and is still the record transfer fee we've received I think, so quarter of a century down the line we'll probably sell Collins for just over £1M more. So not that much difference in 25 years. I think Ivan Toney to Brentford is the record 3rd Division transfer now, which I think was £5M plus a whole host of Add ons. So the 25 years from Barry Hayles to Ivan Toney the initial record fee has increased by just over double. Whereas compare that to the Premier League where Dwight Yorke was the most expensive player in 1998 at about £12.75M, fast forward 25 years to now where Enzo Fernandes is the most expensive player at near on £107M. So the Premier League record is now 8 times larger than 25 years ago. So it was just a curiosity really, why haven't lower league transfer fees increased over time the same way the Premier League ones have?

Probably because there are less transfers from L1 to Prem these days.
What are the fees like from L1 to Championship?

3m would be amazing 2m would be good 1m would be OK 500k would be poor 300k is what we'll actually get Stop it Sleepy! I dont think we will sell in the summer as a min £2m plus big add-ons or £2.5M+ straight will be needed Not sure who will pay that tho, so will probably stay. Keep him, build a team to his strengths.

I think we inflate his value because he is 'our boy '...
JB will throw all his toys out of the pram if he goes for less than 2M - I actually think it will be a lot less than that ... maybe 1.4M
My biggest worry is that nothing happens until very late in the window when a Championship side has sold one of their own and we are left with no time to bring in a permanent replacement or indeed spend the money wisely.
If we genuinely want to move up this league we need a settled squad with a full pre season behind them and a good start - vital we get some early positive transfer momentum and people through the door early.

Think we’ll get 2.2M for him rising to 2.5M with add ons.

Whatever it is, chances are it'll be "undisclosed."
