Looking at the 24, with 2 relegated teams in trouble and only probably Orient troubling the top half from promoted sides, this really does look like a good chance for Joey to take his shot. Needs an outstanding summer window and for once, a decent start. Might be the best chance he (and we) get for a while. Agreed. Was just reading this minutes before seeing your post.

Assuming we keep JB or he doesn't do something stupid(!) this must surely be our best chance for years to finish in at least the top 10, even if you add Barnsley to BB's list of 4 bigger clubs then that's just 5 clubs, with P'boro seemingly having a transitionally season.

Early Sky bet odds have us at 33/1 and 12th in the betting table to win the division.

Portsmouth Derby Bolton and charlton would be the only teams on their day i would expect to finish above us and have first dibs on available players. The rest at the same level or below us. I would add Barnsley to that list too. Not sure about Reading. Will they get another points deduction? Either way I am sure the most players would choose to play for them over us. I would also expect Peterborough to be in and around the play offs again.

Let's not get carried away thinking Rovers will have an easier season for 2023-24, there are some very good clubs in Division 1. Some of the so-called smaller clubs are often a struggle to beat. In my opinion, there is no easy league. Let's not forget Rovers is a small club itself! We are nowhere near to even becoming a medium-sized club. I would love Rovers to do a Plymouth and comfortably attain a promotion, but experience tells me otherwise.

Their best chance was this season. A very average championship. Next year looks much tougher. Reckon all 3 promoted sides will do well. And the three relegated sides will be top 6.

If it did happen there is no doubt in my mind that Rovers promotion would be relegated to 'and in other news' status, Some Leicester fans want Pearson back and it would certainly appeal to him, facilities to match, bigger fan base and more ambitious owner, the only negative is the adage 'never go back' .

Teams coming down are all in financial strife and the ones coming up are no mountain movers. As mentioned previously only 4 or 5 teams to worry about and even out of those it would be unlikely they all achieve their expectations.game on

Why won't it be easier when we've lost two of the biggest sides in L1 and replace with one starting on -8 points and another without a manager? If you go on attendances then we'll be a medium sized L1 club once the new stand is completed. What we actually do next season is anybody's guess but there's reasons to be hopeful this summer.

Will Leicester City be receiving a substantial parachute payment? A club I believe that has been promoted and relegated a few times!

Will Leicester City be receiving a substantial parachute payment? A club I believe that has been promoted and relegated a few times! ****ing parachute payments. If you get relegated and you haven't put a clause in the contract that players get a wage reduction it's your own fault. That'll be those damn agents. If my client doesn't perform, tough. If any of the teams that got relegated go back up the 2nd and 3rd year money goes back to the premier league. 😡

Oh, how I long for the Rovers to attain promotion, with Joey still at the helm. It is so frustrating following the Gas, although I do realize there are plenty of clubs in a similar position.
