That was Party Political Broadcast by The Conservative Party…. …. and now back to our usual programs. 😂 it’s way too much of a convincing and positive argument to be associated with politicians. All the brains are in business making money, politics is like the “improvers” set for oxbridge grads! They are politicians precisely because they didn’t do the above very well. I'm finding myself in agreement with most of your posts on this subject, which alarms me, but that's my issue. We all have free choices, and I can't understand people moaning about Sky whilst presumably still thinking it's worth paying for. One thing I would say is that all the opening offers from Sky will seem reasonable and maybe attractive given the amount of football on offer. It won't seem quite so lovely when they increase their prices year on year above the CPI for existing loyal subscribers, and make juicy offers only to newbies, which is their business model. They gamble on lethargy and reluctance to cancel in order to recoup their investments. "If you agree to stay with us for the long term, we'll punish you financially" seems to be the model, and it works! I dumped Sky about 4 years ago because of this, but we all have different ideas and priorities.

I have my broadband with them and it jumped from £30 to like £70 recently - for a telephone line. It is a dirty tactic but hey Ho, once I cancel I’ll never buy from them again. I do wonder whether Sky will become one of those brands like Our price and Woolworths. It’s mainly boomers who think that television comes from a box you have a remote for and don’t realise you can get most of it free via phone and link phone to TV. My old man was paying like £90 for a glorified freeview box. But the concept of free Chanel 4, bbc and itv via app was a foreign concept.

I hope iFollow stays at least for international fans which is what it was originally set up for. Even now though, if a game is on Sky, it is not on iFollow.
This is not normally a problem as I think we have only been on Sky twice since iFollow was introduced and its easy enough to find it on other sports channels (such as Bein sports for example)
Now if they want to show all the games on the opening day for example, via some red button option, it's going to be very hard for people like me to find a channel with it on, unless my IPTV does something like it does now for the iFollow games by having a channel for each team.

Be interesting to see what the commitment to the supporter and notice period they will give to a fixture being moved. Probably not very much. Be prepared for them to move Lincoln away to 7pm on a Sunday night with less than two weeks notice.

So what happens when BT, Plusnet, Vodafone do the same "dirty" trick as eventually you'll run out of broadband suppliers, unlike Sky Sports, it's not really something you can live without? You simply have to stay ahead of them and just re-fix your contract a month before it's due to expire.

Be prepared for them to move Lincoln away to 7pm on a Sunday night with less than two weeks notice. They've already confirmed all fixtures will be confirmed upto the 3rd round of the FA Cup, although not sure what happens in the final third of the season. If your not flexible on weekend games/times then fans will have to seriously consider whether it's still worthwhile getting a season ticket.

Something will have to give as iFollow will lose around 16 games a season if they still don't show games shown live on Sky.

Domestic streaming audio services will remain alongside existing audio-visual arrangements for international audiences via iFollow and club streaming services. I used to watch matches on my PC, utilising VPN software, to allow me to be " located" virtually anywhere in the world. I came across a VPN router - that attaches to your normal router and allows you to create upto 100 virtual international vpn locations. These are available as wifi locations, or by using TP link gadgets, allow the 100 locations to be ethernet cable connected. This wicked little invention means I can now watch all Rovers games on my big TV, in my comfortable lounge, instead of the box room on a computer screen. You can even use your existing vpn subscription, instead of buying theirs. I had to wait a while for delivery, and it is about £130 if you use your existing vpn subscription, but when you compare that to £100 + for each away game, it can help save a lot of money. www.invizbox.com/products/ib2/The finances stack up as follows: VPN router £130 VPN software £30 ( I use surfshark at £60 for 2yrs) International match pass approx £9 So for the 1st season of 23 away matches = 130 + 30 + (23×9) = £367 All seasons after = 30 + (23×9) = £237 or about £10 a game Of course, this becomes even better value for money, if you have difficulty getting to any home games, or some that are sell-out.

If you watch on iFollow “from abroad” do rovers still get the money they would as uk games now? I like the idea of most of the £10 I pay for fleetwood away going to rovers. Partly why I’ll be less likely to do a Sky/NOW TV equivalent. Rovers get the money from the deal anyway, all I’d be doing is paying to sky’s profits.

The money has to go somewhere so surely it must go to Rovers once iFollow take their cut?

Just get a season pass and use a free VPN and it's £140 for an entire season of Rovers matches including EFL Trophy games. That's less than £3 a match! iFollow even kindly auto renew your subscription each summer. There's no need to use a VPN router just to watch iFollow that just restricts you from watching games away from home. I can't understand why EFL L1/L2 clubs didn't just stick with iFollow and introduce UK season passes.
