I guess its like one of us buying a car, we make enquiries about half a dozen or more before then whittling the list down to a couple before trying to negotiate a deal.

Looks like McGoldrick might be going to Notts County. Insane signing for L2 even at 35

Mansfield are making some decent signings as well so they could improve next season, plus Gillingham have financial backing

It doesnt look like Shrewsbury will be retaining Steve Cotterill

Reading between the lines it seems that Cotterill and his former DoF were let go because they refused to stop spending over their budget.
Early rumours are that Cottrell's being considered to replace Russell Martin at Swansea!

Early rumours are that Cottrell's being considered to replace Russell Martin at Swansea! No rumours about that in the wider Swansea area topper. Seems Swansea have identified a new Manager and are just waiting to resolve the compensation issue over Martins move to Southampton.

I dont think FFP kicks in for newly promoted teams from the conference for a couple of years, or at least thats what I remember. id imagine he will be ready to retire after a couple of years anyway

Not good for other clubs in L2 though!!

They probably don't need to get to what Derby would offer if McGoldrick wants to return to his boyhood club. Things are certainly on the up for Notts County with 4,000 season tickets already sold after last season achieving their highest average home attendance since the 93/94 Meadow Lane redevelopment and the second highest since the 91/92 top flight campaign.
