I dont think FFP kicks in for newly promoted teams from the conference for a couple of years, or at least thats what I remember. id imagine he will be ready to retire after a couple of years anyway They still have to find the £'s from somewhere, I can't see they can get anywhere near what Derby would offer.

I agree and it’s really nice to read and gives a feel good factor. I know you are not comparing but I think Lines was the much more pivotal signature, many felt the same way IIRC

Quite like Josh Key and Archie Collins who have been offered contracts at Exeter. Could released Jamal Blackman be a GK option for us? "Josh and Archie are two Academy graduates and fantastic players that have given so much to the football club over a number of years. The offers that have been made to them are in hope they will stay as they will have offers from our league and leagues above and if they do go, we wish them well for the rest of their careers." On a L1 forum some Exeter fans think that Archie Collins is on our radar but will be looking higher and Jamal Blackman is off to the States Although Collins is out of contract anyone signing him would have to pay compensation

Orient keeper off to Burnley apparently. Knew we’d be lucky to get him but wasn’t expecting that.

Connor Wickham and Gavin Whyte released by Cardiff City. Would be two decent signings at this level.

No a walking injury and past it, non league beckons for him. Jonny Williams was class this season, scoring 10 goals and being amongst the top chance creators in L2. He has proved his fitness over the past couple of seasons playing 39 times and 45 times. Still only 29, he's a versatile player with good creative qualities, higher level and international experience and supposedly a good character. I've always liked him as a player, so I'd take him if his wage demands were reasonable and within budget. Looks like he may be off to the bright lights of Bradford. Maybe they will finally do it this season. Taking their time mind..

Ruben Rodrigues offered a new contract by county (obviously) let’s see if he signs or is looking to join a proper club 😉

Disappointed to see Oxford pick him up. Can accept if he went to a big club but imho we should have made him our big signing of the summer.

Went to Oxford Utd ….
Not sure what else to say other than we have potentially missed out on a cracker there.
Probably not even in Jennings notebook .. our recruitment is very narrow to be polite.

Lets see how Rodrigues does now he isn't in the goat farmer league. He doesn't seem to have great pace and the County fans say he needs a team built around him. That said we have had bigger risks that have backfired before... *cough* Westbrooke *cough*.
