Not sure I'd rush for that. Think we can do better, even with a loan. Wouldnt be unhappy with him on the bench tho, with Marquis or May scoring 30+ I actually fully agree. May isn’t coming here, he’s off to Charlton but I actually back Marquis to get 20+ goals next season, he’s a top player and pro. Knows the club and the team very well after last season & think he will shine. There's no real evidence where May's going, just the latest update from Mr Flip Flop on Twitter is that he's now heading to Charlton, whereas earlier in the week suggested he wouldn't join them until the takeover was completed. Bristol Live reporting we were heavily interested in GK Connor Ripley who signed for Port Vale - missed out due to location.

Charlton willing to let Centre Half Samuel Lavelle go for free. Carlisle already linked, impressive in L1 with Morecambe previously. Worth a punt IMO.

Whilst players are of course entitled to make location a priority, given the recent examples of Couttsy and the large Northwest contingent including JB himself working round such issues with a Bristol base and several returns northward during the season as required, it is probably not a reason that impresses much during negotiations. On the other hand, maybe because we have so many players and staff now experiencing the complications of long distance home v workplace, we might be more sympathetic to transfer targets citing that as their main concern when expressing a doubt about joining the gas. Maybe whilst they are waiting around for negotiations to start we should have “Go West” blaring out!! |

I wonder what the cost of Macaulay Langstaff would be With 2 years left on his contract it would be easily upwards of a million. Notts County owners are ambitious and in no rush to sell, stating it would take an "extraordinary offer" to prise him away. |

That is a brilliant signing I thought he was excellent everytime I saw him last season. He's easily a top 10 league 1 midfielder. |
