Oxfords recruitment team showing what can be achieved with early precision and proper contacts. That would be two very good signings completed ... After their woeful last season it feels like they are gearing up again for a far better season. Lincoln seem to be quietly getting on with things as well .... People say the same every season about clubs that end up strugglingš¤£. It's good to get business done early if you can, but you end up paying more that way. A lot of clubs that were linked to Rodriguez, have said that didn't table a bid in the end. I would guess it's because he wanted too much, for a player that will be 27 by the start of the season and has never played a football League game. Have they used up too much of their budget on an unproven player, or got a bargain. We won't know until next season. Think I can remember people saying the same about their manager last season. I had a debate with an MK fan, who said they were better off without Twine. As they had got a lot of players in and had a much better squad. Rodrigues wanted 4k per week. |

Yep, just look at the lad from Aldershot we had who came with rave reviews. You just have to check the stats and do your homework like Peterborough seem to have success with. I cant say Rodrigues looked very good in any play off games but they are normally cagey affairs. Cant argue with his stats though |

I can't give my source, but it was from someone who made an approach to sign him and I've no reason to doubt him. Not sure about the signing on fee. Always a risk with any signing, but at 4k per week it seems a risk worth taking. Will watch how he gets on with interest. |
