It's such a non statement though, a third club came out of nowhere means nothing. Maybe a third club rang up to enquire about the fee and immediately baulked upon hearing it.
Nothing making it us either. Just feels like a report trying to make things fit to the local club so they can put it on their website, benefitted by the fact that he used to play for us and we've just been taken over.

I'm not sure I'd want us to pay £1m+ for JCH.
He would probably bag 20+ goals this season but his best years are behind him and he'd have little or no sell on value.
If we really did have that sort of money to spend (which I highly doubt), I agree with those suggesting Nombe would be a better signing.

I listened to the Dmac interview and he sorta mumbles the word lower when referring to the club that have come from nowhere.
Hard to define what that means... lower than the clubs who have enquired... lower than Peterborough...
But I suspect the most sound logic is league 2 club, so I'd guess Wrexham.
