Agree Nombe at Exeter would represent better value with a sell on possability. Exeter want nearer to £1m for Nombe having turned down offers of £500K, JCH could be worth nearer £500K so could be a relative bargain. Ones 29 and the others 24 (?) ….. there’s only value in one of those and it ain’t JCH

I find the whole “Nombe is better value” thing a bit bizarre if I’m honest. Nombe has had one good season, he’s younger yes but that doesn’t guarantee he progresses. Nombe for £1m is a bit of a water take frankly, if it were £500k then fair enough. JCH is a dead cert to score you a promotion winning level of goals.

It all depends what JB and the owners are looking for promotion this season or long term planning.

Andy Carroll as a replacement for Lofty, and JCH as the goalscorer we need.
I'll take that 🙂

Would rather JCH over Carroll. The later has scored just 15 in 4 years. He is done.
JCH would be a no brainer.

Listening to wael and Hussein's interview Saturday, I think it was Hussein who said we don't want to just go up and come back down we want to have the infrastructure in place to enable us to stay up. ( Might not have been in those words but was along those lines ) The infrastructure certainly isn't there and won't be for a good few years to enable us to generate enough income to stay up there so I'm not really sure what they want this season. 🤷

Peterborough fans think they are in financial trouble. The owner talking about JCH as the GOAT is the equivalent of DC saying he wouldn't take less than £10m for Taylor knowing the release clause was there.
Wouldn't surprise me to see us go for Andy Carroll based on the Barton connection. He would dominate set pieces in both penalty areas as a minimum which is worth a lot of points in league 1.

If I had the physique of Scott Sinclair now when I was 18 I'd bite your hand off. Give me Wally Walters mk 2000 and Scotty Sinclair 2023 on each wing any day with Andy Rammel on the end of the crosses.

I agree with you, we've got plenty of (really pretty good) youngsters, I don't see any issue with players over 30, especially in positions like a big number 9 where flat out pace and ability to run forever are not so important. I think people forget just how good Andy Carroll was, I think he had some issues with injury and was always judged by the frankly stupid amount Liverpool paid for him at the time. I think he could do a pretty decent job in League One.

Barton does not run an old boys network, they have to be fit and professional. Garry Kenneth and Derek Riordan are distant memories

He scored a very respectable goal every 216 minutes in the Championship last season with 9 goals from 23 starts (7 sub apps) and also got a couple of assists.
