Barton needs to get this aspect under control if he intends to manage at the highest level.
However most of us will know from watching games week in week out that he gets treated differently because of his reputation - referees are much quicker to speak to him or caution him than they are with opposition managers doing the same things.
You can argue this is self inflicted but officials often have decided he is trouble before he has opened his mouth or done anything.
Must be quite frustrating though when you work hard all week and are on the wrong end of poor decisions. Can't help but think in a 50-50 call many referees will give the decision against Barton. He needs to wake up to this and get a bit smarter I think.

Football manager in being angry at officials shocker. So what. Shouldn't have been a ban for that. Edit: we were never going to win an appeal though, so unsure what we bothered. Regardless of who it was. Is it acceptable? Should the referees be expected to take this from a manager or a player? Where would you draw a line? Sexist? Rascist? Homophobic? Or are those acceptable by a football manager or a player? What about physical violence? Is a punch in the stomach ok and punch in the face frowned upon? Anything up to and including a kidney stab with a rusty screwdriver, followed by the manager shagging the wound, would be acceptable. More than that might possibly be over the top.

officials too soft these days... they need to man the Cheese up They should try working for Local Government - "I pay your wages, you effing lazy slag, etc, etc, etc" They don't even get a red card for that! Never nice as it’s just your job, but I do wonder why it’s only local councils etc who have to put posters with threats of police for abusing staff. To me it says a lot about the service levels rather than the customers themselves. Customers are the same everywhere but they only seem to get really enraged dealing with government services. Every interaction I have with them is like negotiating with a spouse in a bitter divorce proceedings 🤣 (Not a swipe at you Tilly, you just work there as do some of mh family 👍)

Frontline services are reduced, and the people left on the frontline get the flack - I do think certain types of people feel that they have the right to have a go at LG staff in a way that they wouldn't with a sales assistant in M&S. Thankfully, I'm out of it now, best of luck to your family who are still doing their bit.

Use all your kaizen and self help quotes and BS if that’s what you need, but control it and don’t give the refs a chance

Given we were promoted the previous season under JB after a shocking start then it's hard to believe refs were giving every 50/50 decision against JB. Even in the Wednesday match it was the assistant ref who gave the dodgy offside decision.

No one is claiming every referee gives every 50/50 against us, but there is no doubt that some of Bartons actions is not going to win him any friends ...... Human nature and sub conscious bias is a real thing .....
As far as the Linesman giving the offside we know the referee has the ultimate say and I am sure Barton's comments were aimed at them as a group. We all know we have seen the ref over rule the linesman.

Seems a bit pathetic to me. Hardly the crime of the century being sworn at a bit. I'm all for protecting officials but a stadium ban for calling someone a lady garden? Seems a bit much. I'm pretty sure if I called someone a Special lady garden at work I would be in a spot of bother as well tbh Well, depends on who it is. I get called it a lot, unsurprisingly.

I am nonplussed by the euphemism “Lady Garden” - surely if there’s vegetation growing out of it you wait until a course of treatment has been completed?

Exactly. All the posts defending him are just deflecting from the main point. He doesn’t learn and officials need to be protected from his verbal attacks. And if he had to be restrained by the staff it’s not a good look. The hypocrisy of it all. If Steve Evans were to do the same here this season we would all give him stick. (We’ll probability give him stick anyway!) UTG! Absolutely Some posters need to have a long hard look at themselves Really, glass houses ‘ blah blah x💙utg

Yeah look, no one’s died. Move on. Yes, we do need to move on. Nothing else we can do is there really? Mind you, it’s a bit worrying that you think we may need to wait until someone dies before it becomes an issue. (I’m sure you don’t!!)🤔 UTG!
