If he wasn't our manager then you definitely wouldn't - nobody else does, same for all the clubs he's been at. I don't think a manager of a football club, who young men look up to, referring to a woman beating rapist as 'interesting' is trivial tbh. The generation of lads that are into this Tate bloke are the exact generation who, at BRFC, love Barton most (second place is the 50+ ex GHS blokes who read those cringe hooligan books). You should probably insert the word alleged in your claims. Particularly as Tate has denied all allegations, plans to continue to deny them and is therefore an innocent man. I’ve heard Tate is an avid reader of Gaschat tbf

I haven't said whether I like, or dislike Joey Barton. I just don't feel the need to vilify him at every opportunity, especially over such trivial and tenuous Twitter posts. Seeming the owner has pretty much allowed the bloke to do anything he likes when he likes since he’s walked through the door, why would you think that he’s going to draw the line at a subscription service on Twitter ? 😂 Probably not, I'm surprised JB hasn't mentioned anything other than discussing football issues for his subscription service: Why Choose My Subscription? “1. Perhaps our manager will subscribe - top three finish with that insight.

Come on Westy. Tucker Carlson was integral in spreading a false narrative on the last Presidential election. A narrative that led to violence on Capital Hill and people died. You cannot condone that surely, you cannot find that "interesting" without being repulsed, can you? As I said - every.single.media.outlet.and.journalist is spreading lies, misinformation and opinions that suit the shareholders, presented as facts. If you honestly believe Tucker is the only one, then I don't know what to tell you other than you have an entire sheep on your face, and it might be time to pull the wool down Straw man arguments I never said that. My comments are aimed squarely at Carlson, whose supportive rhetoric led to the death of people. You think that's fine?

Tbf Oldie The BBC have a statue depicting a naked child created by a known paedophile outside it's HQ while also covering up historic sexual abuse by monsters on the pay role like Jimmy Saville, Rolf Harris, Stuart Hall etc. Doesn't seem to stop people viewing or posting BBC content does it? How far do we go? As I've said previously, it does seem like a witch hunt from the people who dislike Joey Barton. Tbf Gastafari We are talking about Barton and his reaction to Tucker and Carlson. I don't see anyone referencing sexual abuse cover ups. Is that some kind of warped "whataboutery" Really?

That's a straw man argument. I feel like you don't quite know what actually happened on Jan 6th, and that the little knowledge you have (not a dig) is simply the product of the other journalists you've seen 2 minutes news clips from. That's biased, misinformation, spreading lies. But anyways, this isn't a great place to share information. We shall keep to eachothers narratives based on the news and resources we both consume. I'm glad we've been able to have a civil debate, and whilst we won't see eye to eye, hopefully we can agree to disagree. There's plenty neither of us know, and probably will never know 👌

I have no interest in 'Whataboutery' it's a new fad term, used to try and excuse hypocrisy usually. Yep, when a Rovers manager stars saying he finds those two weirdos comments interesting he deserves all the stick he gets, although perhaps this is all just a clever ploy so he can announce his subscription service and fleece his followers for money in the future, perhaps he's realised now Wael's not got unlimited funds!!

So just by posting a tweet stating 'Interesting conversation. Definitely food for thought'. He deserves 'all the stick he gets'? That 1 statement from you Topper sums up modern society perfectly.

Absolutely agree with this. Don't know what is going on but something is off. Almost as if he is trying to slowly twist the screw until he gets sacked. I mean what is this new money making twitter nonsense all about? Hardly a good look when he is supposed to be this focused footie manager with his eyes on the prize. Odd. Note that even earlier in the summer there was more from him in terms of local media. Very quiet now and doesn't seem to have been doing the press stuff after the pre season games either. Absolutely not in the know but something feels strange. I saw a post match interview after Melksham but he wasnt at the Eastleigh game He was at a wedding with his family on the day of the Eastleigh game.

He was at a wedding with his family on the day of the Eastleigh game. Strange though isn’t it? I guess it gave AM the chance of being hands on managing the new signings, and was probably something which was in the diary before the Eastleigh game was arranged. By JB's standards, maybe not that strange.

I’ve watched half the interview now to see what the fuss is about (goes to show this thread is probably drawing more attention to it) and I have found it interesting tbh even learnt something and haven’t heard anything dangerous or controversial yet. Also found out he’s not an all edged rapist as that’s not one of his charges

His latest RT is questionable to say the least……why is our manager getting involved in sensitive subjects like the Mendy rape trail?
