I don't know the ins and outs of the relationship between this company and its ownerships of Bristol Rovers, but the share split action above very much looks like the action that would be taken to create shares for raising equity finance. That’s about £21Ks worth of shares, so wouldn’t seem a massive investment? Or is my back of fag packet up the Swaney?

My understanding is the new investors will have a controlling share of 51% leaving Wael with 49%. Before you ask, I am not going to say who told me this but it was a very prominent figure at the club in response to me asking what's the point in promotion as we will not be able to compete, I was told we will, because of the new investment. I was told this at the players award dinner but was reluctant to share until there was proof (I have been checking companies house for any updates) but now others appear to be aware of it I may as well back it up with what I was told So what you’re telling me is that we’re gonna p*ss the league this season?

Basically, nominal value and actual value of shares can be wildly different. The shares will be sold based on the market value of the company, which obviously includes its assets. help.seedlegals.com/en/2216281-what-is-a-share-s-nominal-value-and-why-is-it-different-to-the-share-price-in-the-round

Not necessarily Doc, a takeover offer can and often is higher than a calculated or current trading value

I can just imagine the conversation in the office at Rovers ....... :-) "What on earth are we going to say about the stand ...... " "Quick get on the forum and make something up about new investors, that will buy us a few days" Wael it seems to have worked. Everbody seems to have forgotten about the stand .

That’s gotta warrant a 6 month forum suspension Mods ? Only if you come on here flouting “I know something you don’t know nah nah nah nah”

Where's the Kuwait connection can me from, somebody just thought they sounded plausible as investors or they've been told they are the potential investors?
Unless the FM is far more advanced than we thought, then you do wonder why the Kuwait's would want to invest in a mid table L1 side, who can't even build a new stand without it becoming a bit of a drama.

Why did they want to takeover Wrexham?? You can make a case for that at every club.

ROI on a League One club which has never been to the Prem before and does not have the facilities will be vastly higher than a club with a decent stadium already and a history of playing at a higher level. Our potential given substantial investment will far outweigh our historical performance. The South West is a huge opportunity for bringing top flight football. If you were to buy say Wigan instead you’re geographically competing with the big boys in a city far smaller than Bristol whilst banging on the door of Manchester and Liverpool Why not? UTFG

My nan lives in Lockleaze and has the same hairdresser as a lot of the Rovers' staff so I'm ITK, whilst digging the foundations for the new metal tent end a significant oil deposit was discovered underneath the Mem; hence the delay to the new stand AND the interest from the Middle Eastern conglomerate.

Just wanted to share what was said to me and let others see what they thought.
