My nan lives in Lockleaze and has the same hairdresser as a lot of the Rovers' staff so I'm ITK, whilst digging the foundations for the new metal tent end a significant oil deposit was discovered underneath the Mem; hence the delay to the new stand AND the interest from the Middle Eastern conglomerate. Good one, that'll do for me!!

ROI on a League One club which has never been to the Prem before and does not have the facilities will be vastly higher than a club with a decent stadium already and a history of playing at a higher level. Our potential given substantial investment will far outweigh our historical performance. The South West is a huge opportunity for bringing top flight football. If you were to buy say Wigan instead you’re geographically competing with the big boys in a city far smaller than Bristol whilst banging on the door of Manchester and Liverpool Why not? UTFG If that's really the case then why have both Bristol clubs found it so hard to attract big foreign investors? now the train station at avonmouth Park and ride is open its now a different ball game.

So based on the little we know, what do we think is percentage chance of this being true?
I'm assuming most think this is BS, or do we think it's a possibility?

Normally I'd say bollocks but I have a lot of respect for both Sean and the good Dr so if they've heard something and gone to the trouble of posting it I'd say that it's legit. Neither are the type to post bullshit.

I can just imagine the conversation in the office at Rovers ....... :-) "What on earth are we going to say about the stand ...... " "Quick get on the forum and make something up about new investors, that will buy us a few days" Wael it seems to have worked. Everbody seems to have forgotten about the stand . Stand?

Well, the reorganisation of the Share Capital is a material fact. I was told of the visit by an interested party(s) who were introduced as the "new owners" But we wait for confirmation. Another rumour is that the turnstiles are being repositioned to face East as you walk through, whereupon we all have to chant "Bradford Akhbar"

Where's the Kuwait connection can me from, somebody just thought they sounded plausible as investors or they've been told they are the potential investors? Unless the FM is far more advanced than we thought, then you do wonder why the Kuwait's would want to invest in a mid table L1 side, who can't even build a new stand without it becoming a bit of a drama. ROI on a League One club which has never been to the Prem before and does not have the facilities will be vastly higher than a club with a decent stadium already and a history of playing at a higher level. UTFG not very likely though is it? Its like say a couple of movie Stars buying a non League club and turning it into a global brand. Great movie for Hollywood - but can you imagine it ever happening - Get real !!

My understanding is the new investors will have a controlling share of 51% leaving Wael with 49%. Before you ask, I am not going to say who told me this but it was a very prominent figure at the club in response to me asking what's the point in promotion as we will not be able to compete, I was told we will, because of the new investment. I was told this at the players award dinner but was reluctant to share until there was proof (I have been checking companies house for any updates) but now others appear to be aware of it I may as well back it up with what I was told Cannot be those percentages as the supporters club and small shareholders have about 8% of the shareholding.

I made that mistake. This about the Dwane Sports share capital of which have zero shareholding, not BRFC 1883 Ltd where they have a minority interest

BRSC don't own any shares in Dwane Sports. Wael owns 90% and Samir 10% of Dwane Sports. Dwane Sports owns 96.5% of the shares in BRFC 1883ltd. The SC shareholding was reduced further when Wael converted 18m of debt into shares the investment talked about is in Dwane Sports, not directly into 1883ltd

If this article is correct then there are only two very wealthy Kuwait families, and one of them already owns Nottingham Forest. thearabposts.com/the-richest-businessmen-in-kuwait-2022/Perhaps we're going to be the first overseas company to benefit from the newly set up Kuwait Investment Authority?
