Please , I’ve literally only just started to get over it. I also remember the previous season when we had , Steven Gillespie and Chris Beardsley firing us to relegation And swapping Eliot Richards for Alan Gow 🫣 How many games did Gow play in the end….about 5 ?

Young Eliot was one of the few bright lights in that era. I know he dropped a few levels after his illness but hope life has turned out ok for him.

I was there the night Gow was injured at Scunthorpe. A miserable evening and freezing cold!

If we sign him we win. If someone else signs him, we get a sell on fee, so we win. As has previously been said, we only get a sell on fee on any profit. No chance of that as he won’t be sold at a profit. How do you know what any club is prepared to pay for JCH?

It's about time we got back to Tier 2, its been 3 decades now, which is ridiculous. We've seen the likes of Bournemouth, Brighton, Brentford and even Peterborough buy the best players in this league to get out of it. Was their infrastructure any different to ours at the time? They all played or still do play in grounds similar size to The Mem if not smaller capacity wise. They may have had a few more seats but that's about it. Lets f*cking go for it! How can you compare the Mem to Brentford's and Brighton's new grounds, particularly when we've only got stands at 3 sides of the ground now! Although Luton show that you don't need to have grounds like there's to compete at Championship level.

Nobody is going to pay over £2 million for a 29 year old at this level. So it's safe to say, they won't be making a profit.

He clearly said that they “all PLAYED or still do play in grounds a similar size” which was obvious to all that he meant the Withdean and Griffin Park (12.3k) as the past tense ones, and Bournemouth still playing at Vitality / Dean Court at 11.3k so he’s absolutely right and they’re directly comparable. I grew up with all 3 seen as smaller than us.

Are the new owners prepared to fork out £m's each season like Wael's done in recent seasons?

The fact Gorringe didn't rule it out tells us all we need to know me thinks Two theories on this, I think there is some truth 1) Insurance if Collins departs. 2) Devious ploy to keep bids away for Collins.

Won’t happen for us then , we’ve only got about 8500 !

More related and aptly, they won League One there in their final season, under a young no nonsense manager that had formerly played in the top flight…
