Point of order. Donkeys are beautiful, loyal, hard working, sociable animals. Carroll is none of those things. not all.remember the one they called Robbie Turner? A good point. Thankfully, I was working abroad for the period when he "played" for our club. 🏴☠️

The results weren't at all what I expected!!!

Even if Rovers don't sign him then being linked with Rovers will help create competition for his signature to help generate a higher fee and the possibility of Rovers making money from a sell-on.

Before the pandemic the big screen video used to play Edom by Avicii before the games started. At the time I took a bit of a liking to the song and as we were playing bloody well when we had that big screen video on I downloaded it and started to associate it with the gas.
Earlier when the excitement started building I whacked the song on whilst painting my kitchen diner.
Then later I was taking care of some other jobs and whacked on shuffled songs. The song came on again… it’s a sign! He’s coming home guys 😁
He’s got unfinished business to take care of 😁

I know it's only Twitter talk, but Charlton fans seem to think they are signing JCH We will probably be outbid by someone like Portsmouth, Charlton or Derby who in a season or two will be pleading poverty all over again

Am I right in thinking JCH would be able to buy himself out of his contract at the end of this month, as per the 'Webster Ruling'? The Webster ruling is a test case in association football law involving Andy Webster, a defender formerly with Heart of Midlothian football club in Edinburgh, Scotland. In September 2006 he became the first player to exploit the updated transfer regulations of FIFA, football's governing body, which stipulated that players are able to unilaterally walk away from a contract after a fixed period, regardless of the duration of the contract itself. Hearts had initially placed a valuation of £5 million on Webster. However, because he had served more than three years of his contract he was outside of FIFA's "protected period", and any compensation due to Hearts would, per Article 17, be based primarily on the amount of Webster's salary still outstanding—a figure estimated by Webster's advisors at approximately £250,000. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webster_ruling

Listening to Big Mouth McAnthony on his latest sweary Peterborough podcast he is really giving it the big 'un around JCH worth. Reading between the lines Charlton have enquired at £500k - A N Other in L1 as well and I don't believe for one minute that Wrexham will spend that if they are the lower club he also mentions. Hard Man Darragh says they 'pushed the boundaries' to secure promotion to the Championship and any other club will have to do the same as JCH is the best striker in L1. He wants his money back I think ... but given the financial state of his club there is a deal to be done. Not sure it will be us though, surely a Championship side will come in for him - Our Red step Cousins for example !! All that said - I think JCH has hit his ceiling at L1 level - so we shall see. I’ll buy your used car , use it for two years and stick 35,000 miles on the clock and you can buy it back from me for the same price. Bargain 😂

Remember when Peterborough bough him , said he was unfit . Still looks the same and can be lazy when things not going his way. Surely theirs a better solution than JCH . Sheffield Wednesday play offs he went missing.

Stoney If it’s a goal scorer we are after then it will be quite easy to see if there are better solutions than JCH - just look at a list of who’s scored the most goals at this level in recent years.

Am I the only one who thinks that whilst he is a great player and a natural goal scorer at this level, I don’t think he’s the right fit for how we now play and if we did sign him then we’d need to change our style of play to be round him? I look at the work rate and unselfish play that big John gets through and our high press and just don’t see JCH fitting into that… he’s a more traditional number 9 imo where you play the ball to him and where he’s positioned and I just don’t see him doing the athletic aggressive closing down and pressing and dirty work like Marquis (and to be fair Loft when he comes on) does….
Great player but for me not what we need in our style of play now….

MacAnthony said: “Two clubs from League One are interested in ‘Jonno’ and a third club has just come out of nowhere. “But I have a figure I want for him and if it isn’t met he will stay here. I’m being realistic. I’m not asking for three to four million, but you are trying to buy the best goal scorer outside the Championship. He’s the GOAT (Greatest Of All-Time) in League One. “I paid a substantial sum for ‘Jonno’ to help us get promotion and he’s at his peak now so put your money where your mouth is if you want him.” I'm sensing he wants at least the £750K back he paid or even £1m+? Not really sure he's worth that for probably just two more good seasons? It would be worth every penny if his goals fired us to the Championship. It would. And the other bit people are missing… he could also score the goals to keep us there. We know how good JCH is… I think some are playing it down a bit! He’s an absolute monster and only two years ago I genuinely thought he’d be getting a top champ move for £6m+.

Brown, Collins, marquis and sinclair are all capable of 20 goals a season. Personally not sure we need JCH? Having said that if he did play for us he'd have 5 goals by now with all the chances we create!

I don't think John Marquis was that type of player before he came here, either.
Joey thinks he can make JCH even better!
