David Bright sacked from Rovers with possibly Gorringe about to follow too and presumeably Barton under review These new owners want their own men apparently. Big changes at the club. F in hope so. Stop teasing me, hb! Um has anyone asked what the problem was with previous incumbent and how DB was steamrolled in without advertising the post? Just asking... Didn't he allegedly b@lls up the new pitch being laid, although once again what expertise was he going to have about laying a new pitch? I said when the new owners were announced the first thing they needed to go was either replace TG or bring him somebody to assist/oversee him, dismissing Bright is just like moving the chairs around in the Titanic. What's going on with replacing the Club Secretary as the last appointment was another b@lls up by TG, possibly forcing out the previous one was as well, given how long he'd been doing the job.

Who is club secretary now. David Sam’s left to be replaced by a work experience kid, who by all accounts didn’t work out, who took over? Nobody has been officially announced, I'm surprised the FA lets us continue without one being appointed.

Some people on here have a real hate boner for JB it is what it is there's no pleasing some With full justification too Bringing the club into disrepute Court cases for alleged violence fined fir driving without insurance Three game stadium ban after horrendous incident with a match referee Should I go on with more ? When has JB bought the club into dispute? As far as the court cases he was not found guilty so hardly justification to dismiss him, similarly with the motoring conviction, where even the magistrates let him off to a certain degree.

You missed out the Pirate Pot debacle. Embarrassingly amateur hour. The open day or whatever it was called for the Chesterfield game, the one where we even got the kick off time wrong originally was apparently a non event. Did you attend Topper? As the open day was far from a non event - there were rides, band’s playing, food, shop was busy with sales and a friendly (which was a decent watch)…. 1 million times better and more enjoyable than the previous year that was atrocious… bearing in mind all the rides were free etc…

They must have missed the rides, although they are probably a bit too old for them anyway! I guess the shop will be busy tomorrow anyway?

It will be no doubt but I’m surprised your family member didn’t see everything else as it was all located in the fan zone? The rides were tailored more towards the younger ages and the people I saw there all seemed to be having a good time… the bulk of the playing squad came out after the match signing stuff and posing for pictures with fans…. Was it as big or as wide ranging as the ones from 10 years ago? Possibly not but remember the fun days of old didn’t include a match and also all of the rides etc you had to pay £2.50 / £3 per ride …. Each to their own re friendlies but what I would say is that Chesterfield came and played a tough competitive game and that meant we had to play better and we did with some really decent football on show… For me I just wonder what people realistically expect on open days etc? What do they want?

I don’t do PMs , just stick it on here so everyone can see it . Never understood how it was a no-no to reveal stuff to the forum but perfectly acceptable to do it via PMs. To as many people as you want. Like the time Henbury threw his toys out of the pram and said in future he'd only reveal his bits of sketchy gossip via PM. We had to PM him to get on the mailing list and he would then consider whether we were worthy of receiving his missives. 😂😂😂😂

I totally disagree with you in the strongest terms Cant stop progression - Only people dealing in cash are drug dealers and those 'off the book' trades people. I have not had been paid in cash since I started full time work in the early 80's and cannot understand the resistance to cashless. It’s because people think it’s a move towards a digital currency where authorities can command how you can spend your cash, and have a record at their fingertips of everything you’ve done, everyone you’ve interacted with, worked for or worked with. Some people think that kind of power would be open to abuse by a government, or officials within government services, with bad intentions. They may have seen the Chinese system where political dissidents have their ability to own property, travel by train, travel by air and stay in hotels removed, without due trial and process for what are mainly political crimes, so it’s actually a system which exists and is being currently used in the world in tyrannous fashion. Some of these people probably believe that a lot of people haven’t really thought it through and back the position of the authorities, either through stupidity or cowardice.

Enough with these conspiracy theories. Take a mobile number? It can be tracked Have a credit card? Transactions can be tracked. Be a director? You are on the public database, including your home address. For god's sake enough.

Why have a pop at Pete because he's from Blackburn? When has he "pretended" to be "lifelong" Gas? He does a very good job, I don't care if he supports his hometown club - it doesn't detract from his approach to his job at Rovers. I'm sure that all employees support the club, and form some attachments (if they are here long enough). I'm not on about Pete, he's sound. I'm on about the Terrace bloke. Apologies, I thought that Pete ran the shop. No idea who the Terracce bloke is.

To be fair the mod has said in private what most of us would like to say in public. Why do you want every Gashead to know Mike Jay, the unofficial club historian, has started acting a bit odd, I can't see that boosting your book sales.
