Nothing wrong in choice but handling cash costs the club money and it is cheaper for them to go cashless (I am not personally saying it is right or wrong) Correct. Cashless makes absolute sense I totally disagree with you in the strongest terms

That does not fit Oldie's agenda. Some people on here have a real hate boner for JB it is what it is there's no pleasing some With full justification too Bringing the club into disrepute Court cases for alleged violence fined fir driving without insurance Three game stadium ban after horrendous incident with a match referee Should I go on with more ?

Was at Exeter Airport 3 am last Wed.'Card only' in the only hospitality area but their card machine wasn't working and they wouldn't take cash. Did feel sorry for the young lad on the till.We couldn't get a drink and they dipped out on trade.

Loss trade often cited, but lets say cashless works 95% of the time, the transaction is at least 5 times quicker than cash/change so where there are lots of queues and a short time to serve cashless will ensure more trade overall. There is a reason more and more businesses are doing this. Imagine waiting for change.....

My local is cashless. Good few other pubs too.
Cash is king for those who don't necessarily want to provide HMRC with err...credible self assessment returns.

Correct. Cashless makes absolute sense I totally disagree with you in the strongest terms Cant stop progression - Only people dealing in cash are drug dealers and those 'off the book' trades people. I have not had been paid in cash since I started full time work in the early 80's and cannot understand the resistance to cashless.

Ashton Gate - and I know this as my daughter did a fund raising display there and were doing bucket collections but we’re told, similar to the Mem no one brings cash as it’s entirely cashless… whilst not entirely cashless 90% of businesses in Bristol operate a preferred cashless approach and having worked in a bank monitoring societies banking transactions to help determine what products are offered - it was shown that over the last 5 years cashless transactions have grown exponentially by something like 1000% and the drop in cash transactions have gone the opposite when in a similar fashion. Don’t get me wrong - I think cash should still be an option but I completely understand why there is a drive towards cashless as it reduces operational risk, is easier and quicker to run data on to understand what and where money is being spent, people tend to spend more using debit cards than cash, there is no ‘mates rates’ discounting or the like and it is operationally faster so more activity can be done in the same time..

I don't see why Gorringe gets a pass. He runs the football club. He would have given Bright whatever responsibility Bright had. The club is in many ways just a more expensively run, PR-centric version of the Higgs days - the stand debacle, the b8g screen in -1 temperatures not working, season cards out last minute as usual, blaming Ticketmaster for everything, an away top saying football is for everyone then telling the away club they can't bring disabled fans, all very Higgsian, even if they've revamped a couple of the bars and have flashy tat to sell at the club shop, run by a bloke from Blackburn who pretends he's lifelong Gas Why have a pop at Pete because he's from Blackburn? When has he "pretended" to be "lifelong" Gas? He does a very good job, I don't care if he supports his hometown club - it doesn't detract from his approach to his job at Rovers. I'm sure that all employees support the club, and form some attachments (if they are here long enough). There’s a lot of things to like about Blackburn Rovers. If I was a Northern Monkey they’d be my team too 😆 sorry Pete.

Who is club secretary now. David Sam’s left to be replaced by a work experience kid, who by all accounts didn’t work out, who took over?

Totally agree about the carvery, pre-match. There was nothing I liked on the main hospitality menu, so I had to choose from the chldren's choices. Family used to enjoy Hospitality once a Season, but £95 each? Not a chance. Don't care how nice it is, we're not paying that. You can buy a lot of sausage rolls for 95 quid

Lets review Ticket diaster first priority ticket master needs to go season ticket holders paid but no seats to sit on Delay in shirt release lack of planning permission resulting in reduction in stadium capacity contactless stadium upsetting old pensioners who dont have cards 50/50 draw debacle Getting rid of an award winning programme editor and number of experienced contributors resulting in producing an embarrassing match day programme Branding debacle trying to change badge brsc brfpa blue diamond club upset by having to hold their events at Gloucestershire ccc instead of Mem Positives Introduction of fans zone and large screen Superb playing surface You missed out the Pirate Pot debacle. Embarrassingly amateur hour. The open day or whatever it was called for the Chesterfield game, the one where we even got the kick off time wrong originally was apparently a non event.
