Give Aaron a break he doesn’t become a crap player overnight. Joey will have a word and things will improve im sure. Today we should have won at least 2-1 ……. I thought apart from the obvious golden misplaced shots we looked a good side against a top 6 side. The thing is this isn't an overnight event. He has been well off form since Jan/Feb. Ive said before that an in-form Aaron Collins is unplayable, but unfortunately that isn't consistent enough. All I see of him at the moment is running into trouble or making bad passes |

I hope he gets his skates on, remember fag end of last season I saw him at Fleetwood with me da who knows a thing or two: "very ordinary" was the verdict after I bigged him up as the second coming. I couldn't disagree.
Not sure if he just had an absolute purple patch and played well-above his ability 9 months back or whether he's got stuff going on which has dragged him down. But he isn't anywhere near up to snuff at the moment and maybe that's why nobody came in for him over the summer. He needs competition...

His head has been elsewhere for some time now, it’s fanciful to think we’d get more than £1 million for him at present, a shadow of himself, think his head got turned with all the buzz towards the end of last season he thought he’d be gone by the beginning of the transfer window, maybe that’s why he’s been like he’s been? Distracted players don’t make good players, I think in his mind he’s off the Gas bus!
Fwiw I don’t think he’s league one level let alone championship

His head has been elsewhere for some time now, it’s fanciful to think we’d get more than £1 million for him at present, a shadow of himself, think his head got turned with all the buzz towards the end of last season he thought he’d be gone by the beginning of the transfer window, maybe that’s why he’s been like he’s been? Distracted players don’t make good players, I think in his mind he’s off the Gas bus! Fwiw I don’t think he’s league one level let alone championship Utg 16 goals 12 assists & voted the leagues best player last term, not good enough for the level? That’s some yard stick ya got there😄 |

I don't doubt for a second that Azza will come good again it's just that at the moment he is not at it and has not been for some time so i think a break will do him good ,he has been an ever present for a long time now so a spell as an impact sub may do the trick and get him firing again , his present state of mind was summed up by 'that' chance yesterday which he would have smashed home a few months ago.

Apart from the Marquis miss Collins was involved in all our attacking moves even playing a big part in our goal. Not really sure sticking him on the left wing helps AC find his form. |

Well said, Aaron’s decision making may have been lacking yesterday & should have played Luke Thomas in a couple of times, but as you mention, most of our best forward play came as a result of Aaron’s ability to run with the ball & cause opposing defenders to back off, just watch the full build up to our goal & see his contribution to a brilliant bit of counter attacking.
You don’t win league 1 player of the year for no reason & i am sure we will see him back to his best soon, great player & hopefully we keep him.

Imo Aaron is a top player both AC and JM missed chances yesterday, but they also both created and were in the right positions. Would play Aaron as a 10 not a 11 however Joey knows better than me. Sure Aaron will start scoring and get back on another fantastic run.

Through most of Aaron’s career he’s played the no 10 role. Barton had to play him as a 9 in the promotion year and he adapted to that.
Barton wants to play with the modern inside right and left positions with one guy as a forward, and I don’t think JB sees Collins as that player but absolutely does see him as an inside left. I think Collins, when he’s mastered the role, has the perfect attributes for it. Although I understand Collins wants to play as a 9 or a 10, or he at least did.
Although he’s lost his decision making at present, when he’s on the ball he always looks competent with it, and has excellent close control and good pace. Even at the moment, he’s well off form, but he still makes a useful contribution and is somewhat threatening.
If he wants the traditional 10 shirt then I don’t think he will get that here as that is not how JB likes to play

Collins is the best player we have..end of debate.
Fans are a bit miffed because he isnt banging in the goals .
He still is doing things beyond what most of the team are able to do.
The hype last season and then the award have put things on his shoulders he may not like . Expectation and pressure to deliver.
He will start scoring and assisting again soon.
He us still one of the best players in this division.
Have faith and keep encouraging him.

Just play him in a natural position, that would be my response.
Out wide, or part of a three does him and therefore us, no favours.
