Really excited by this, bit of a no lose situation in my opinion, he could even end up our JCH signing without the price tag.

Common sensible signing. It's been shown that we need a proper centre forward and if anything happened to JM we'd be struggling. Good work by the club.

I assume he'll get plenty of minutes as JM can't play 100+ mins twice a week, and AC & JB don't seem up to the task of playing CF.

Very pleased with this our number one target didn't work out so it was always going to be difficult finding a stop gap, CM may or may not work out but I believe this is a good move by the club and probably the best option out there for us, at the very least he will be good cover.

Last season he averaged a goal per 307 mins in the Championship. John Marquis averages about goal every 360 minutes for us if the 11 goals in 44 games that wiki says is right. Thing is as we know John brings more to the team than just goals so if Martin is similar he will be decent back up and probably better than loft. |

Certainly got goals in us now , bit of pressure on the others and fills in the gap left by Loft . All good as far as Im concerned. Takes us to Jan and a re evaluation of JCH . All the best for the mighty gas , Chris.

If he scores ten before Christmas I’ll withdraw my comment and publicly apologise. We didn't get jch though. Out of contract made it easier for us. Locality is another benefit. What if he scores 9, clears 3 off the line, draws 6 free kicks and wins 2 penalties? |

For the second part he’s just as much if not more an ex-Canary, an ex-Ram or an ex-Ranger. On paper he’s an upgrade on Lofty, I’m pretty sure he will prove to be so on the pitch as well. We have to learn to be the wind beneath their wings rather than the millstones on their backs. |
