Big believer in digging down. If we drop the pitch by 10 -15 metres, we could build something amazing that the locals couldn't complain about. I've been to other stadiums where the pitch is lower than ground level. Digging down 15 metres? You any idea how much that is? The length of the neck of a Mamenchisaurus sinocanadorum.

Mine's on the East, then the North and eventually the West Hope you’re right and I’m wrong ! 😃 Me too, although I'd go North first, then East. If there is scope after that, West.

IMHO the Mem is going to be totally regenerated. The next project will be the levelling of the East Stand and season ticket holders offered on a priority basis seats in the South Stand. The East terrace will be retained and used whilst the new stand is built running the whole length of the pitch behind the terrace. Once built the terrace will be levelled and the pitch moved east ward up to the new stand. This will give more room on the West Side for the eventual building of a new stand (the final piece in the jigsaw) there after development of the Thatchers End which will follow on after the completion of the new East Stand - total project time 5 years. This is only my opinion and not based on anything else. Was thinking something along the lines of La bombanera, obviously not on the scale. The West stand would become a bank of multi, maybe 3, level boxes. Which would not need much more space than is currently used. Pie in the sky, mind

I thought we were playing fantasy stadium here, not putting together the next planning permission application. I think the problem we are going to have in our current location is height. There is always going to be a ceiling (see what I did there?) to how high we are going to build. When looking at previous plans, the talk was about doing something similar to MK Don's where an additional layer can be added when required. I don't think that option would be available on the current site. So why not build down. It's become a major strategy in developing properties in London, so why not here?

Rather than Pirates Pots why don't we do Mem Monopoly?
All fans pay £100, or £1,000, or £10,000 if they can afford it. The money goes into a Pot (see what I did there) and each subscriber gets a share certificate relevant to their subscription and they we start to buy houses around the Mem.
Get enough and we can rent them out to new players, then when we get the whole street, knock the houses down and build a new stand. Easy!
