Just announced .... JB has decided to stop doing the subscription updates on X
Probably not a bad thing to be fair ... Wasn't really value for money in the short time it ran.

Another ill considered and not thought through act, now cancelled. Embarrassing. Or he just did it for a limited amount of time to raise money for Nick? It's possible to overthink these things.

I signed up to it once I knew the money was going to charity. Didn't get any info about the club or secrets etc. Feel a bit sorry for the fomo crew who complain about everything all of the time tbh.

Another ill considered and not thought through act, now cancelled. Embarrassing. Respect the view but wonder why it was ill considered and embarrassing? JB has a large following on X, has an interesting background in sport as a player and manager, walks a tightrope of controversy sometimes and has a level (depending on how you define it) of celebrity status. Some (quite a few I’d guess) people are interested in his views, thoughts, thinkings and knowing more detail on aspects of football and football management. It was done to raise money for Nick Anderton. Some may say it was innovative and different method to fund raise, some say it was an abuse of personal privilege and unfair… Whatever your viewpoint, I’m struggling with the concepts that it was ill considered and embarrassing. I’m guessing you’ll be able to explain your view? (Not saying it’s wrong, just don’t understand it yet without context or reasoning)

Chicken or Egg. Did he set it up to raise money for Nick or was that an after thought?

Chicken or Egg. Did he set it up to raise money for Nick or was that an after thought? That was my first thought when he announced it was for Nick. How much did he raise? How was that given to Nick? Do we get to see one of those big cheques?

(Not saying it’s wrong, just don’t understand it yet without context or reasoning) brilliant comment, keen to see the moaners response to this Moaners? From my perspective raising money from a transaction that lands into a personal bank account, funds raised predicated upon an EMPLOYED role with an organisation that owns the intellectual property being charged for is "ill considered", at best. Embarrassing because the link to N Anderton was only made AFTER Barton announced this scheme. I accept he did say a proportion would go to charity at the outset, but he never mentioned which or what percentage. That would have been easier and made the scheme more marketable if he had linked Anderton, surely. I have never worked in an organisation where this guff would have been allowed to happen. I suspect (without any evidence) that the new Kuwaiti executive may agree which, if true, bodes well.

Slightly off topic, but whenever I try to look at twitter/X accounts in the last few days, the posts are in random order and I can't see the most recent one.
Seems to be a known issue but I can't work out how to corrct it.
Any ideas?
