Am I missing the point? This thread was supposed to be about JB charging to view his Twitter/X posts. When it transpired this was to raise funds for Nick Anderton, the criticisms about him daring to charge suddenly turned into moans about everything else he has said/done/not done. His private life is just that - private - and if I had his wealth, you can be certain I would also find the best tax avoidance schemes available. And if any of you says you wouldn't do the same I'd suggest you are either liars or deluded! Tend to agree. What Barton did with charging for Rovers related content was just wrong, despite the subsequent excuses. However the moralising over how he manages his private arrangements is also misdirected and wrong. In fact it deflects from the real time critique of his management at our club. |

His LTD companies were brought into this because others said they couldn’t blame him opening an account because he needed a LTD company, he has 6 and this is debating, is it any different to Question Time?! That these schemes are not illegal schemes but some would say, ethically and morally wrong. The relevance to this thread is that again, it shows the character of JB. Whilst some are having to depend on food banks, JB is spending thousands on tax avoidance schemes. I cannot prove that he has spent thousands, but I do know that this kind of scheme normally starts at around £20k and its not guaranteed to work... No supporter of Barton I. But I do not buy into moralising over how people utilise their assets, as long as it is legal. Hypocrisy, yes. I don't see in this example that Barton has done anything wrong, morally nor legally. I think this fits the narrative that JB does stuff for himself first like try and make a few quid out of twitter and then claim it was for NA at a later date. Someone who participates in a tax avoidance scheme are demonstratingvthst they are thinking about themselves first. |

The Police Federation should announce females officers and deceives can’t watch and comment on fights on CCTV anymore because they have no idea of what it’s like to be in an all male fight?!
And the best of it, just because someone won a Ballon d’OR in 1827, it means he really has a right opinion 😂👏🏻
Just to add George Best won a Ballon d’OR a few years before Keegan, I wouldn’t listen to him either and ironically George and Joey had something in common!
