There is no way anyone on this planet can argue JBs outburst was justifiable and/or fitting for the apparent crime, surely? How anyone can even begin to defend him here is unreal. To talk about going to the CEO to fine him... really? He needs to come out and publically apologise. It is bullying, simple as that - LT once AGAIN thrown under the bus. Barton puts on a mask to pretend he's just a normal guy, but every other month or so it slips to reveal the narcissistic, bullying thug that lives beneath. And he's already getting the excuses in for missing out on promotion I see, despite having arguably the best and certainly most expensive squad assembled in our history. Fraud yet or no? Narcissistic bullying thug! 😂

We never made P'Boro get out of first gear. You mention that we created plenty but we didn't take them and most of our best chances came once we were already two down. It was a lucky goal but the second wasn't. A team wins 2-0 where they're comfortable for the majority of the game then that's a comfortable win. We’ll agree to disagree. I saw a game between two evenly matched teams and they had things go their way in both boxes - on another day the result could very easily have been reversed. Spot on Eric we were in total control until the first goal which was very fortuitous and the 2nd goal JB has totally blamed LT but there are a few who need to look at there part in the goal. What has gone missed is the stunning save by Cox that again fell to there player who taps home. Our performance was on par with Posh and with better finishing we might have got a point out of the game which I think we deserved. To say we never made them come out of 2nd gear is ridiculous.

JB pulled out players last January and slagged them off in Public, then it was one of our best performing players at the time. We then went into a a slump and only won one or two more games that season. Football teams are tight units and when you smack one in the guts/ call one out, they all feel it, hopfully the players will pull themselves together for Tuesday night. JB needs to be carefull because the new owners didn't employ him, with the squad we have we should be higher up the league, if the owners don't take to Barton and his behaviour they may get rid. Isn't one of the newly appointed directors an author within the field of HR/Leadership or something? Wonder what his stance would be on how to handle something like this? Send him on a anger management course and give him a final warning, he may already be on one, as he did say a while back he may not be here at xmas , who knows?

I think the bottom line for me is JB spouting all this over the top stuff in public. Why? For effects? To humiliate LT or whoever else in the future? If he rants at him in the dressing room in front of his team mates that should be good enough. How many top class managers ( and JB isn't one yet btw ) constantly throw their players under the bus , and I stand to be corrected.
Mourinho? A very good comparison actualy , Mourinho a manager who looks petty and child like by passing the blame when it goes tits up and crucifying his players.
Tactically on a differnt planet to JB , but not top class anymore in my view . Definatly belonging to yesterday....

Posh were nothing special but we never really looked like getting anything from the match once they went 1-0 up and we were pretty poor between the 2 goals. We really only started making chances when Posh sat back on their 2 goal lead.

Set pieces still seem to have not progressed after watching the game yesterday.the faffing about on corners is what does my noddle in and the throw ins near the opponents box just have no planning.

To be perfectly honest I have never seen any club do anything different on throw ins apart from having a player who could launch long ones.

Their second goal was pretty spawny, save went directly to their players feet. That game felt like when you play on fifa and the engine decides you’re going to lose. My only concern about this team is they are too small. Posh had big athletic players and for all our skill, it seemed like we were the under 18s playing the under 21s.

It was wrong, in my opinion, to go after LT like that in public.
Take Sir Alex Ferguson, the greatest of all time in my eyes. He fiercely protected his players in public, blaming anyone or anything other than his own men. Behind closed doors, he wouldn’t be afraid to tell it as it was, but not in public to the press. That’s the way it should be in my opinion.

Mr Ferguson completely lost it in our changing room afterwards and berated the ref Lester Shapter to such an extent that I thought he was going to have a heart attack.

I know I have been criticised many times on here, but I continue to say that Barton will not change until he engages his brain before he opens his mouth. But with a brain the size of a pea, he may have some difficulty. His behaviour is a poor example to young supporters, which is the reason I handed in my season ticket when he was hired. I have supported this great club since 1951 when I was seven years old and will do until I curl up my toes and I am sick of this man dragging the good name of this club through the man on a regular basis.

It was an embarrassing rant tho. Which he has since dialled back on. Would like to see the same but expect Joey to double down and ostracise Luke for a while.

Sounds as though LT may have been playing up, it's not just about what happened in this game. He does have history of this when he first came on loan, I'd have hoped that he'd come back to us as a more mature player, his performances this season have certainly been top notch. Better for JB to put an arm round his shoulder and tell him straight what the problems are, and working to overcome them.

Have been a fan of JB most of his tenure but this outburst is nothing but bullying for yet another inept display due to his selections and tactics. LT has, imo been our most consistent and best player this season . If JB was my boss in a normal environment, I would be straight to HR to get at least a formal apology and a warning. Disgraceful how he has picked on LT again when it looks like there was cause to blame other players for defeat. Also, what has Sincs done wrong Picking up 9 mins on last 3 games . JB seems to be the idiotic boy ( can't call him a man with this behaviour) I presume that your boss doesn't get questioned by the press about your team's performance on a regular basis, football is not a normal environment in many ways. Ferguson wasn't adverse to throwing tea cups or the odd boot at players, I wouldn't have expected my boss to do that if I'd made a mistake.

These are well paid people Tilly and dealing with the media is part of the job. I do think, personally, that some are not cut out for this, despite their personal prowess as a player. I would put Barton in that group.
