Following players contracts expire Summer 2024:
James Belshaw Lewis Gordon Luca Hoole Goerge Friend James Gibbons Jordan Rossiter Josh Grant Sam Finley Scott Sinclair John Marquis Harvey Greenslade
Any players you think need tying down to a new deal ASAP, before Jan window? For me: Marquis, Hoole & Gordon
Would look to keep Greenslade, Grant, Finley, Sinclair (player coach) on our terms but not overly fussed.
Belshaw, Friend, Gibbons, Rossiter I would definitely move on
Thoughts?

Following players contracts expire Summer 2024: James Belshaw - Thanks and best of luck. Prob goes JanLewis Gordon - 12 month extension only unless big improvements seenLuca Hoole - lock down for 3 yearsGoerge Friend - no idea, too little time. Prob let expire if fitness doesnt improveJames Gibbons - disappointing. Decent back up but we can do betterJordan Rossiter - Hasnt worked out, unless something changes, have to let him go unfortunately.Josh Grant - 3 year dealSam Finley - maybe 12 monthsScott Sinclair - want to see more of Scott this season. 12 months more I thinkJohn Marquis - Not sure. Like him, but at some point he'll look for more playing timeHarvey Greenslade - Spening lots of time at the gym going by his insta! Looks to have bulked up. Would like to see him given a chance and a new dealAny players you think need tying down to a new deal ASAP, before Jan window? Agree on the most part, but I'd only give Grant one or two years at most, and I'd offer Marquis another one year deal if we're still in this division.

Ryan Jones was only given a 1 year extension. Been injured but now back in the Bromley team which is doing quite well.

I think we will see a fair few of these moved on .... Not top six material
James Belshaw almost definitely will move
I would also let Lewis Gordon move on - not the full package at LB and rumoured attitude especially now he has been dropped.
George Friend - came to do a job for a season -
James Gibbons - Real disappointment - Does not add much.
The rest i think will be offered something albeit Sam Finley has this season to earn something or get moved on.
Jordan Rossiter - If the whispers are true we just might not see him again at his best hopefully unfounded and the club stick by him like they did Josh G.
A lot will depend if we are L1 and planning a genuine real go at promotion...

Most were saying let him go as he’s never fit , now he’s a major part of this squad. He’ll be back. I’d let Sinclair go as I think his wages could be better spent elsewhere. Hoole , keep on 2 yr contract Grant , keep on 2 yr contract Marquis, keep on 1 yr contract. Greenslade , not seen enough of him to have a valid opinion. Gordon , Belshaw , Friend , Finley , Gibbons let go .

I'd be happy to let most of those go, probably only Rossiter and Grant I'd be looking at offering new deals to and even then that would be reliant on them proving their fitness

If we achieve our goal this season (getting promoted) most will be gone

Having seen the squad together for three months, with a new manager I would look to secure the following:
James Belshaw - Allow to leave Lewis Gordon - Allow to leave Luca Hoole - New One Year Deal Goerge Friend - New One Year Deal James Gibbons - Allow to leave Jordan Rossiter - Allow to leave Josh Grant - New One Year Deal Sam Finley - New One Year Deal Scott Sinclair - Coaching Role John Marquis - New One Year Deal Harvey Greenslade - New Two Year Deal

I'd like to see Rossiter given another chance. I still think Joey was the main reason behind a lot of the players getting so many injuries by him pushing them to hard yes I understand there has to be certain amount of fitness but at what cost

If you were the new man coming in charge, who would you move on in Jan?
For me (list in priority):
James Gibbons - fitness issues, never really got going here Ryan Woods (send back to Hull) - wage is likely sizeable, not consistent enough Scoot Sinclair - Love him, just lacking quality these days Lewis Gordon - Works hard, just not L1 level

He will be relatively low paid, so not a big drain. Half a season in L2 worth a gamble.

If I was the new man I’d keep Finley until summer. Popular captain, would be a mistake to cause upset on the camp as soon as you come in and you

How many games has Grant missed this season due to injury? Fair play to JG, & JB/Wael, as he's made an incredible recovery from what was clearly a career threatening issue.

All this "release not good enough" but if we win tomorrow and then win one of our home games in hand we'll be in the top 6!
Why on earth would anybody keep Sinclair when he rarely starts but release players who are regular starters?
I can't understand what's wrong with Sinclair as he seems to have the ability but just seems somehow uninterested in using it.
Chris Martin with 3 in 3 even without a pre-season puts him to shame.
