The most pointless poll ever.

The most pointless poll ever. But aren't all the posts on this forum pointless? Does it matter who we think the next manager should be? Does it matter whether we develop the Mem? Does it matter who is available in the next transfer market? No. Because we have no say in it with the people who make the decisions. However, it is good to voice our opinions and hope that maybe some of them become a reality.

There’d be no point doing something like that. How would it bring in more money for the club? Yeah there’s 3/4 games a season where we might need the extra capacity. In that case spend the money on an actually nice North stand with bigger bars, restaurants and a larger capacity so you’ve got a 13 or 14k capacity. It’s so important we get the North and East stands right, I’d rather we waited longer, saved up transfer fees, grants and even fundraiser among fans if we ended up with a couple of stands to be proud of.

I really think we should do the North stand first. Especially if we are keeping a lower standing/safe standing tier. Will be less of a impact overall and offer much more opportunities for better facilities quicker

Who will bid for the Memorial stadium now it as ' community asset ' or ' Place of historical value ' ?. The community wanted to safeguard its existence by pressuring the City council to issue a community order. In a sense the protest group have scored an own goal !. it makes little difference other than if Rovers were to sell the Mem then locals get the chance to meet the asking price.

Any North End improvements can include the space of the building behind as they could be included in the new stand.

This is precisely what I imagine when I heard the owner say "North and South East" or words to that effect. I fear we'll get something very similar, possibly even more bizarre and cheap!

Totally agree. He doesn’t say they’ll rebuild the East stand but “north and south” of it which makes me think they’ll just add to either end of the existing structure which is likely to make it look shoddy. It just disappointing when you think what the Mem could have been like had the original redevelopment gone ahead back in 2007

I think the other thing that would be easy to do would be a north east corner stand. Join up the north and east and maybe add 1.5K seats

I guess the other thing the owners need to do is look at ways to increase our attendances. It's no good having all this extra capacity and we only have a few hundred more fans watching.

I’am sure attendance’s will improve if we can provide- 1 Better facilities with more seats on offer 2 A strong marketing campaign to sell season-tickets 3 A more attractive matchday pricing structure especially for families 4 The ability to accommodate more away supporters. 5 Success on the pitch.

It just disappointing when you think what the Mem could have been like had the original redevelopment gone ahead back in 2007 Well, the South Stand is being done on the cheap (let's face it, it's not a proper permanent 21st century stand). Knowing now that this is the first of 3 phases of redevelopment, the remainder will be similar. Very underwhelming when comparing to the proper redevelopment plans in 2007 and indeed the UWE and Fruit Market plans. I'm glad we're getting on with making improvements, it's very welcome, but for this to be "instead" of us building a new 21st century stadium, it's a cop out.
