So good to be talking about our shabby ground openly as there are those who simply accept it and have a go for any criticism. If you watch a lot of non league stuff you can't help but see how so many others are moving forward even at levels several below us.

Can't think of any examples of clubs falling into ruin after getting a new stadium (Darlington apart, an unfeasible vanity project by a nutjob owner). Quite the reverse at Brighton, Brentford, Swansea, Rotherham etc etc. Most of these stadiums were built with some level of finance i.e debt. If our new owners are unable to raise what is needed for us to achieve what everyone knows we need to get to the next level then can't really figure out why they got involved in the first place. A proper, modern stadium would attract a lot of new fans, a slightly tarted up Mem will not. I share your frustration. I cannot understand, why are fans are always happy to be mediocre, it's like as long as there's something to do on a Saturday. Why don't we want a top drawer stadium to be proud of. Not talking a billion stadium, but something that half decent... Don't have to travel very far to see what a decent ground looks like. Most understand the Financial constraints we have, if you think the least we should have is similar to Trashton, that cost what, £70 million 10 years ago? Got to be realistic.

Yes, decades of chasing the dream without looking after what we have has left us with a rundown home. When the UWE fell through we should have done what we are doing now, that way we would not have run up a 20m+ debt with nothing to show for it. We can still hope for something better in the future and if our new owners are developers why can't they put together a plan to develop an area just like Conygar are doing and incorporate a stadium?

Any owner who can just pick a plot of land, get planning permission and build us a nice £60 million Stadium gets my vote. You happen to know one?

As I said I thought our owners were supposed to be in the development game. If Conygar can do it why could they not do a similar type of mixed development? Unfortunately, I admit, Identifying land in a suitable place is probably the holy grail.

I'm also not entirely sure what our new owners do/did for a living, or where they did it. All that aside, it's the Land that we struggle with and always have had which is why we're making the most of what we have, I guess.

As much as I wanted UWE to happen and the FM to work, a revamped Mem (if done correctly and at least 15,000) will allow us to get to and and make a reasonable attempt at staying in the Championship.

If our new owners are unable to raise what is needed for us to achieve what everyone knows we need to get to the next level then can't really figure out why they got involved in the first place. Investing in the team and training facilities so to attract players to gain a quick promotion to the Championship whilst raising the stadium capacity at the loweset possible cost could be a very good ROI.

Good luck to anybody hoping to make a ROI at Rovers.
