Excellent.
We now know where we stand. Hopefully they build a modestly decent home that is fit for purpose.

It's what I preferred once we walked away from the UWE project.

Locals organising a street party as we speak…. Yeah, the locals that don't want us, are now stuck with us for the long term. I'm sure they will be raising a glass of organic carrot juice to celebrate tonight.

I wish to object to this.....well thought I'd get in first before the usual suspects. .

Let’s just get on with this now, so many years of failed plans, blame games and false hope.
It’s finally time to build the facilities that the fans deserve, at the mem.
The location is great, the plans now need to consider parking, space, acoustics and revenue making facilities for the club.
Confident we can turn the mem into a fantastic stadium but it will require careful consideration.

Wonder what this means for Mr Outsource?
He has constantly said we can't redevelop the Mem.
Reckon he will be gone soon too.

Only worry for me is the revenue opportunities outside of football.
Can't see us being allowed to stage concerts etc because of the residents. That's my main concern is that we might be limited on revenue opportunities which we definitely need if we're to be able to progress.

At least we have made a decision, hopefully we won't flip again and actually get on with it.
Wouldn't surprise me if the South Stand is being used as a test case for planning.
Time to start a new thread and consign this one to the Legendary Threads section.

I'd be very interested to hear what the specific plan is, because it seems like such a limited site for future growth and non-matchday revenue which is essential to long term sustainability. Also, if we're redeveloping along the same lines as the South Stand, which is a big improvement on the tents but still not a proper 21st century permanent stand, I won't be impressed.

Haven't had the chance to listen yet. Has he said the FM is off or that any and all other destinations are off the table? Chucking "tempory" stands round 3 sides of the Mem may do us quite a number of years.

In all seriousness, yes re-develope the Mem for me
Other options aren't working out

Perhaps Rovers will eventually buy up a certain amount of the nearby housing for increased capacity!!

I always thought it to be the correct choice after the club walked away from a precarious UWE deal.....and although I say YES' I still believe we have no other true option.
