I think any new stands may well be larger in comparison than the South Stand, the only restriction I see is the slender East Stand due to the houses directly behind it Hopefully also made of brick and is Modern in all aspects. I'd agree with you, the East Stand would need to incorporate Changing Rooms etc etc before the West Side is knocked down and upgraded

Listening now, to summarise:
- New manager: Trying to find the right man for the job, may take a bit longer. They want someone young, experience of L1 to the Champ or perhaps Champ onwards. He wants future staff to be club staff, not a manager's staff. Including recruitment, operations, fitness etc. That way when things change, the club has continuity.
- Finish the south stand and continue to develop the Mem
- FM was on the table when they took over, or so they thought. But they realised we had big differences. Developer was very profit oriented (naturally) and we had no control over the land or finance. We tried to work with them, but we just couldn't continue to we're going so develop the Mem bit by bit so we don't have to leave the Mem.
- South stand to finish November, then move to the East stand (stage 2). Then stage 3 which is the Thatchers and something else and that will complete the stadium for a number of years to come.
- Capacity: We'd like 18/20k but realistically 16/17k . Going to keep safe standing but the development will be mainly seated.
- We are hoping to finance + loans.
- Final completion out of our hands, but we're speaking with the council and engaging residents now on this.

The South Stand is only good enough as a temporary solution, surely? I 100% agre with that. It is a shed. A good temporary solution whilst thatchers end is rebuilt. It might be a shed but you can keep an awful lot of tools in it, and no doubt we will!

I'd like to know very much whether the stands will be permanent of temporary. This is key for me.

Interestingly he doesn’t mention the West stand. Guess we can also stop referring to the new South stand as temporary? Surely the West Stand should be done as well at some point? East stand should be the biggest with new hospitality, changing rooms etc.

At last some bloody sense!! It's a ground that we own in a great location, we just needed someone to see the obvious and push forward with redevelopment, we could never afford to own our own ground anywhere else, why move!

Otherwise, why wouldn't they redevelop the West Stand? IMO, its because it's the only stand with boxes & changing rooms etc. It also suggests why any capacity is likely to be 16/17k. If the south stand now is just short of 4k and you built the same on the north (it could go much larger), then realistically the East stand would be about 6.5k? That, plus the current west stand takes you to about 16/17k I'd imagine.

I thought he came across very well in the interview but seriously underwhelmed by the plans for the Mem. Sounds like we'll end up with a 3 sided Frankenstein ground of cheap stands, like the South one. If it was the plan to stay than why didn't they get an architect in to design a proper stadium rebuild?

South East North. That's fair enough as I haven't heard it. I can't get Rovers games on the radio etc in Street. Always City or bloody Yeovile

So I suppose, they would still have the option of looking at other sites or more permanent structures. But they know we need something now!
