Pearson is one decent manager. He's had a mare with injuries to his squad, had developed and sold some serious talent and not had the resources (especially this season) to replace them). To shaft him like this is disgraceful.
Yeah, he might be dull in interview, but so what?
Good luck to the bloke and hope his demons can be sorted and quickly.

But you have a pop at people who didn't go because of Barton? Lmao. You couldn't make it up! I’m not keen to hand over hard my earned money out of a sense of duty if there is zero entertainment although saying that I probably would for a while like I did with GC. A bit different to those who bit off their noses to spite their faces and missed one of the greatest season finales in our history just so they could prance around on their moral high horses. I’ve got a horrible feeling they might go for cotterill - I soooo hope not 🙏💙utg

One thing I will miss about Nigel will be his interviews.
Although I'm no insomniac , there are times when I realy need to get some z's
Who’s worse to listen to Pearson or Mark Cooper ? 😴 💤 🛌 Lets be grateful Andy Murray isn't a football manager , he wins hands down

Just had a quick look at the Pearson sacked thread aon that other forum - my god you really couldn’t get a more ungrateful mob with regard their attitude to Lansdown. If I was him I would immediately cut all ties and funding with his Bristol Sport empire and see how they like that! Bunch of total wankers.

You've been completely shredded there. It's ok for you to boycott if you don't agree with something, but not ok for others to boycott if you don't agree with their views. You have admitted exactly that. Hmmm. Don’t think so. Nobody is obliged to keep forking out £20+ per week if they are not being entertained. If we appoint a manager who plays awful football that is a chore to watch I’ll think twice before committing my cash. There are plenty of other reasons why people stop going to games such as having a young family, moving from the area or simply can’t afford it. All fair reasons whereas boycotting simply because one employee has a history which makes them morally inferior to them is just weird imo. Weird in your opinion, but not wrong. Which was my point. Your reason of wanting to be entertained may be weird to some. If you chose not to come to Rovers because you don't like a manager for whatever reason thats absolutely fine, you really don't have to justify it to anyone. You used the phrase morally inferior, not me by the way. I've never once suggested I'm a better person than anyone. A case could also be made that you think you are better than high and mighty people like me, making you high and mighty!! You must see the irony in that? Anyway, I apologise if it feels like I'm giving you a hard time on this subject, it is not my intention to single you out, but it was too good an example to pass up. Every one of us has something that we value. It doesn't make either of us wrong, only human.

Bunch of total wankers. Ah, but that means your assuming he gives a toss about what they are saying. He does not. That's real estate and he will have many associates tied up down there on various business deals. The football club is a smoke screen. Not too dissimilar to many other clubs, these owners aren't in it to please supporters.

Bunch of total wankers. To be fair they are up in arms about how NP's been treated, if JB had been hobbling around on crutches and could only put kids on the bench then I doubt we'd be too happy with Wael tonight, not that he'd ever do anything similar in any event.

History shows if the footballs poor fans will drop off, they were down to around 6K under GC but they clearly kept turning up under whilst JB was in charge and we had a number of sell outs, they only started dropping off when his team lost the ability to win games. If the new manager doesn't turn things round gates will drop off again.

Not you but others on here directly called out those still attending games as morally inferior and essentially supporting domestic violence because we carried on watching games. That sticks and won’t be forgotten. Choosing whether to watch games purely for football reasons is totally different imo.

Wow they realy are venting their spleen against Pantsdown aren't they? Not much interest in their affairs so this comes as news
Now all we need is Mr Ainsworth in the AG hotseat , I'm sure he'll sort them out. And please dont tell me he's on our radar

You have admitted exactly that. Hmmm. I stopped going when Ray Graydon was manager, just couldn't take any more of his football, as when I go to a game I want to be entertained. If he'd changed his style, and games became enjoyable again, I would have returned. Not really a personal decision against him per se, which I think is what Eric is saying about Cotterill.

Did a very good job there under the circumstances.
I am sure he doesn't like the media side of his job and that is reflected in his interviews, but he is a manager (which he is good at) not a raconteur.
Big mistake by City, I think. I think he would be a good fit to come here.
I would much rather have a good manager with tactical nous, rather than someone who just talks a good game.

Well if you look at the foul language and comments of sheer rage from their supporters about this sacking. I think Lansdown needs to go back to the channel Islands and find the deepest part of the Nazis underground war caves an hide there for a few month. Cuz if he goes anywhere near Trashton he will get skinned alive . My god Sh*t fans can be a vile unforgiving lot sometimes.
