Pretty depressing for Bristol Football. Two managers in the job for nearly three years doing a decent job.

Reckon the job at Trashton is incredibly unattractive - aim to win promotion to PL with little investment and up against any number of big and big spending clubs. Anyone who takes it is on a hiding to nothing. In contrast, imo our job is much more attractive - decent investment and more realistic chance of promotion sooner. 😄 |

The City bench yesterday was full of Academy players, including two goalies, and they had another making his debut in defence according to R Bristol's pre match report.
Added to that NP seems to be fighting significant health issues (aren't league managers allowed to take sick leave?) so what does SL really expect from his manager?
With a bit of look the Pro Managers Association will now ask its members to boycott the job!

The bloke is obviously struggling with his health at the moment ant decent employer would have give him time off and let the coaching staff run the playing side in the interim!

No real comparison between the two. We are an attractive option in League 1 and they are an attractive option in the Championship. Whatever your views about them they are a stable club with a strong structure owned by someone who’s invested heavily over the years. That may have changed recently but both clubs have enormous potential but in different ways and they have a ready-made infrastructure whereas we’ve got further to go. The clubs will be shopping for new managers in different places I think. Unless I’m going to be shocked by who we appoint. Whoever either club appoints will be unveiled as the first choice candidate who aligns themselves with the club values. (Ha!) 😉 UTG! ps. That all being said they are only a bad season away from us and we are only a good season away from them. And if those two things happened in the same season we’d overtake them. 😉 |

I’m not keen to hand over hard my earned money out of a sense of duty if there is zero entertainment although saying that I probably would for a while like I did with GC. A bit different to those who bit off their noses to spite their faces and missed one of the greatest season finales in our history just so they could prance around on their moral high horses. You've been completely shredded there. It's ok for you to boycott if you don't agree with something, but not ok for others to boycott if you don't agree with their views. You have admitted exactly that. Hmmm. Don’t think so. Nobody is obliged to keep forking out £20+ per week if they are not being entertained. If we appoint a manager who plays awful football that is a chore to watch I’ll think twice before committing my cash. There are plenty of other reasons why people stop going to games such as having a young family, moving from the area or simply can’t afford it. All fair reasons whereas boycotting simply because one employee has a history which makes them morally inferior to them is just weird imo. |

Started same day as Barton…. Leaves same week. Sh1!heads always copying us … Haha ! What did they expect from him Seriously? He hasn’t got one of the best budgets ( I think) and they keep selling their best players . Odd. Their gates and wages are both ranked as 12th in the Championship and currently they lie 15th. He hasn’t really achieved much other than keep them up, so I’m not surprised they’ve got shot. |

As my youngest now plays at 3 on a Saturday. We always go if he’s not playing but I have to say 36 and 32 quid against Northampton is a lot of money. Wael I have faith in, this new lot I’m not so sure. |
