You've been completely shredded there. It's ok for you to boycott if you don't agree with something, but not ok for others to boycott if you don't agree with their views. You have admitted exactly that. Hmmm. I stopped going when Ray Graydon was manager, just couldn't take any more of his football, as when I go to a game I want to be entertained. If he'd changed his style, and games became enjoyable again, I would have returned. Not really a personal decision against him per se, which I think is what Eric is saying about Cotterill. Totally agree, I stopped as it was unbearable under him, also didn’t go under Atkins as I couldn’t stick the arrogant man.

It became apparent that Pearson had more questions than answers and the hierarchy at Bristol Sport 82 didnt like that. I'm only submising but I reckon he had plans to reinvest some of the Scott money and build a team around some of their promising youngsters, but got a firm no.
I've got some sympathy for Pearson, despite being arch rivals... Deserved better than that lot ...

Weird in your opinion, but not wrong. Which was my point. Your reason of wanting to be entertained may be weird to some. If you chose not to come to Rovers because you don't like a manager for whatever reason thats absolutely fine, you really don't have to justify it to anyone. You used the phrase morally inferior, not me by the way. I've never once suggested I'm a better person than anyone. A case could also be made that you think you are better than high and mighty people like me, making you high and mighty!! You must see the irony in that? Anyway, I apologise if it feels like I'm giving you a hard time on this subject, it is not my intention to single you out, but it was too good an example to pass up. Every one of us has something that we value. It doesn't make either of us wrong, only human. Not you but others on here directly called out those still attending games as morally inferior and essentially supporting domestic violence because we carried on watching games. That sticks and won’t be forgotten. Choosing whether to watch games purely for football reasons is totally different imo. I'm not sure that was what happened. I don't think anyone said that about people going to games. However they probably did say that about people defending JB.

Who knew There was so much love for Pearson here Nah, just not blinded so much by my dislike for “them” that I can’t recognise a decent manager when I see one. I was genuinely concerned that he’d take them up tbh. Hopefully they’ll employ Ainsworth now😁 Fair enough, but no one on here had a good word to say about him before.

No one should tell someone why they should and shouldn't attend games. I don't agree that your reason is any better than mine, just different.

Personally don’t think Pearson’s heart was ever in the city job, Some of his comments indicated he found them a strange lot ! I always listened to his post match comments, very underwhelming To put it mildly 😩💙Utg

Thanks for posting Simon, was just going to post Marquis. No doubt some of the players might well have spoken privately with him and don’t see the need to make their thoughts public. Just yet another post trying to stick the knife further in Joey, like a dog with a bone for some reason can’t let go. This follows on from the Sun article posted earlier today.

The morals of those attending games was definitely questioned. I don't agree. It was the morals of those backing JB that were being questioned. I questioned the morals of those that backed JB, yet I still attended games. I'm sure that if you look back, it was the defending Barton bit. Otherwise, find the comments and we can unite with a public flogging of those users! 😉
