What I find incredible is that these protesters are able to get something bulky like tennis balls into the ground. Fireworks I guess can be flatter but tennis balls? Do they frisk fans going into grounds in the lower league. I haven’t been frisked in League 1 this season but at AFCB I’m searched completely before being allowed in. And it’s not just a cursory search it’s very thorough! Seeing as it’s a regular occurrence at Reading I’d have thought the club would put controls in. When we had the pitch invasions at the Mem didn’t we have to produce a plan or something to ensure it didn’t happen again? Surprised the EFL haven't done something similar considering the regularity with which it happens. (Sorry, that reads stupidly, after all it’s the EFL who couldn’t organise a p*** up in a brewery.) 😉 UTG! The search was only a token gesture on Tuesday at the gate I went through. People could have taken anything in...and they did. Then they (Reading FC) deserve all they get. I hope the spectator who was hit is ok, she doesn’t deserve to be affected. UTG!

As they certainly are at the West Stand turnstiles.

At Pompey and Charlton this season there were some high-vis jackets stood at gates but I was never searched. It’s good they do at the Mem then. But obviously not at Reading! In view of what’s been happening they may need to step up. UTG!
