Good post ,I’m probably just overly tired after two long away trips , don’t get me wrong I’ll have the points but any other team with a bit more quality and we’d have been done. Safe travels mate. Safe travels home, massive pat on the back for travelling up to watch us For once I had the right time off and use of a company car !! 😂😂👍 |

Great 3 points today Up The Gas.
The common denominator in all of our league victories this season ?
We scrapped the slow possession playing out from the back tactic in every one of them.
Arguably the only exception to that is shews away where we did it in the first half and were dreadful and moved it quicker second half and won 2-0.
Don’t get me wrong it’s not always pretty when you move it quicker and Today was one of the worst games of football I’ve seen this season but 3 points is what matters.
Very good performances by us this season with quick tempo ? the port vale and Wigan games spring to mind it’s league 1 it’s never going to be pretty every week but to be successful you have to play to your strengths and trying to be Barcelona is not playing to our strengths.

Great result, a 4 point haul this week from two away games most would have taken if offered beforehand. Obviously sounds like we can play better, but grinding the points when not playing our best is a good sign.
Onwards and upwards, hopefully get some more of the injured players back before Derby. Safe travels to the fans that went all the way today. UTG!!

Just got back from jittery iFollow..
Don't underestimate the value of this win.
Amazing result even though scrappy and sending off.Tough opponents and never an easy place to go.
I just don't like the way simulation has been assimilated into our match, but as much as you can critique this our defence stood firm and dealt with most crosses that came their way.
Didn't see all the match but we'll done Wilson whom looked potential m o m and Cox that made a couple turn around the post saves.
Congratulations to Mangan and his team!
3 wins and 1 draw is a very useful return for caretaker....who can deny this?
The Mango Whel turns once more and gets a deserving break.....well done.

Gutsy win …. Cox / Evans / Hunt and Bogarde all exceptional . Crama / Woods attrocious .. Mangan not the answer … Seen it again today. Gas away fans brilliant. Couldn't have summed it up better myself. Evans and Bogarde were both immense. We need grant ward back asap to have the midfield 3 or ward Bogarde and Evans. I'd snap your hand off for Carlisle's Gibson. He's heading for the championship. Too good for this level. |

Phew..so relieved with that & the 3pts. We really dug in there at the end with some real gutsy tackling.
A win's a win and we deserved that slice of luck with the deflection,great to see no silly passing it around in our penalty area and plenty of outlet balls down the channels..i'm sure they read this forum 🤣

Well don Matt Cox, after getting lots of gaschat stick he sounds like he played great today.
Now Tuesday. We can’t risk Wilson surely? But that leaves no CBs! Get the kids in and hope we still win.

Loved the attitude of the players today...played some good football in short spells but defended well throughout. Only downside for me was only being able to access the Carlisle commentary on ifollow...but a small price for a good win. UTG!

Look at that table I genuinely believe we can be right in the mix for promotion if we get the right manager in.
Credit to Mangs, his points return in in his time in charge has been brilliant. But the football has hardly changed and I think we need a fresh start to take us in a new direction. UTG

I thought Evans and Marquis did really well. Woods looked like he was going to get sent off, he really need to calm down a bit.
That was my fourth MDT unbeaten. UTG!

Result certainly better than the performance but a hard fought 1-0 win on the road is always a good sign. We never really got going as an attacking force but thought we defended superbly especially after the red card. Wilson outstanding along with Friend who I thought was excellent when he switched inside.
Tricky call on the manager now, yes we're unbeaten under Mangan but in all honesty we've played 4 pretty poor sides. 10th with only a 3 point gap to the play offs & a 2 week break before the next league game a new manager coming in couldn't really ask for much better circumstances.
