This is certainly the number that was presented to the local residents. Can't see how the evil post can come out with that when the final plans have not been drawn up yet, club are still consulting with interested parties. They have stated where it came from though. āOnly few details have been published by residents on social media so far, but the plans appear to include building 350 student beds in a six-storey buildingā

There is a hight restriction as well , in the past it was the hight of the existing stand.

Those comments are incorrect, as the club representatives apparently stated that the maximum height of the blocks would be 6 storeys height, not all the flats would be built in just the one block The previously approved stadium plans give an indication of what may be built.

Sounds like itās going to be a huge housing estate that happens to have a football pitch attached to it rather than a professional football stadium with some residential property attached š¤

It seems all the club have done is get them out of the filing cabinet, as they were large blocks of accommodation including in those plans.

There is nothing in the Rovers statement about consulting fans. All about neighbours and pre-application discussions with the Council. Will fans not get consulted before the application is submitted? Don't need to consult fans for the purpose of getting planning permission. I know that but surely the club would want to consult it's paying customers before they submit the application?

Key to that will be the ādecent stadiumā bit. As long as itās more stadium than housing complex then might be ok - I want it to be and feel like a proper football stadium first and foremost. I appreciate the club needs extra income streams from somewhere but just donāt like the idea of being swamped with student lets. Weāll see how it looks when they eventually decide to let the paying customers have a look at the plans !!!

Tbf I donāt think 350 student beds will swamp a 17,000 capacity stadium.

The club is a business and if it wants its patrons to have the best experience, then they should be consulted. Not to do so is taking the fans for granted and not caring. Not a good business strategy. So have a word with yourself. šš

Iāve worked in student accommodation 350 beds aināt that much as itās literally 350 on suite bedrooms with maybe 35 kitchen diners and maybe a reception, common room and laundry which spread out into 2 or 3 corners at 6 storeys would probably cover it.

The bars in the north stand, club shop, catering facilities, toilets, turnstiles. Will all need to be knocked down to make room for the new development.
The club are obviously going to replace these with modern facilities and probably build more retail besides considering that there will be 350 students living on the site 24/7.
