Well tomorrow night will be on but don’t expect a win, club cancelled the teams hotel stay and asked them to travel tomorrow and straight to Crewe against the managements wishes.
*and before I get the usual how do I know this, remember I knew the players had no one to take training the day before Taylor’s appointment.

We were meant to stay over tonight and train up north tomorrow. Why would they stay overnight on a Monday, for a 7:45pm Tuesday kick off with the venue less than 3 hours drive away? Seems a waste of money.

The owners have just realised how much it really costs to sack a manager. The players now have to hitchhike up to Crewe tomorrow, the club have given them £3.50 for food allowance. Everyone has to wash their own kit and they will be paid on a performance related pay scale. Anyone who gets less than a 6 on the Gaschat ratings will get half their wage. UTG

Seems a waste of money. A lot of clubs and us, prefer to stay the night before. The players get a lay in, team meeting, lunch time/early afternoon session on team shape on the opposition. A lot of clubs as well pay for an extended afternoon stay so the players can have a mid afternoon sleep rest in their room. It’s a 4 hour bus journey, we can train in Bristol but the players recovery will be 4 hours sat on a bus. They will arrive at 5pm, it’s not the ideal preparation or for any players carrying a knock or say Chris Martin.

After Saturday our lot don’t deserve the pampered life, go and earn it.

Morning session at the Quarters going through tactics etc a spot of lunch then on the bus around 2-2.30 to be there for 5ish. Maybe this is Taylors way of doing things who knows but again can't see this being an issue. And if this was the case that they were due to travel on Monday for a hotel how the hell were they supposed to be going to Dublin on the lash Sunday and still be back to then travel to Crewe to stay Monday night and be in a fit state to play Tuesday? All doesn't add up.

Did the owners son pull the plug on the JCH deal because they didn’t have the required £££? Nothing suggested they had the means to operate a League One football club. The shambolic events since have further heightened my fears.
"From our perspective, we wanted to make that deal happen, from my side anyway" said Barton.

Exactly, just looked it up 132 miles door to door and mainly motorway. I would say that it is often better for a player to sleep in their own bed and travel up early afternoon, after the morning training session.

Guys, we are fans, let’s try and not be sports scientists now!
The management don’t understand the decision, all clubs stay over the night before a midweek game who can afford it.
And as for this staying in your bed stuff, the big clubs all have their players stay in hotels Friday night now before a home game! Kids coming in at 2am to your bedroom is not good prep for a player!

Yep, explaining this sort of stuff is a waste of time Jamie Mackie at Oxford had a 2 hour back massage before every game to get on the pitch, he has his spine fused. We wouldn’t make a 4 hour bus journey and start that journey start that evening!

Worrying that this is allegedly going against the wishes of the management too!

What’s even more worrying for me is we are back to the days where we heard whispers of Hani doing things like this and we all know what happened then!
