Strange first half … Cox distribution was not good All defence relatively sound. Finley busy / Evans putting in a shift Vale very wasteful / LT biggest threat by far JB started well and fell away after 20 minutes Collins is bouncing around like Tigger and has the goal threat of Andy Pandy. - not sure what replacement options we have as Marquis is awful. 18 shots in the first half - 8 on target but most had no pace behind them. Not sure where you get the Cox distribution poor from has played some great balls to feet or chest to break the first line. Constantly high balls to Collins who didn’t win one … Ransom was winning everything. He then changed after 25 minutes using the dink to midfield. |

TFF for Thomas !! Nothing else looks like scoring. Vale Collins Finlay and Evans all look way off the mark. Cmon Gas. Get Sincs on ! Really ? I think Finley’s been ok and Evans has been our second best player in that first half. Thomas has been brilliant best player on the pitch. |

I reckon he’s our best player but has just lost confidence. If Matt Taylor can get Collins firing again, it’s the difference between mounting a playoff challenge or midtable obscurity. Taylor will understand this. UTG

In full agreement, also Brown (for my money) has had a terrific half of football. |

One of the best halves I've seen from us this season. Pace and attacking intent all over the pitch makes a nice change to lots of balls in the midfield not going anywhere. Brown and Thomas will get plenty of plaudits but I want to shout out Gibbons who I think is having one of his best games in a Rovers shirt. Worshipped by Vale Fans.Time to give him a run but he is injury prone. |

When it clicks and we have some confidence with shooting we will score a hatful.
Collins gets all the stick but Brown, Vale, Finley, Evans and Thomas (before the goal) all had poor attempts when in good positions.
Good half tho. Enjoyed it. More of this attacking intent please. Worth my tenner so far.

Collins has had a dreadful 2023 but we know what he's capable of. Challenge for MT is to get the best out of him - Collins 2022 version Absolutely. We know he is a quality player. Players have dips in form. Get behind the lad. |
