Mate of mine broke his leg this week and I had heart surgery. We both swerved the right game by the sounds of it. 😁 UTFG and onwards and upwards. 🏴☠️ Hope all is well, Fuastus. Thank you. Sorry, wasn't a "woe is me" post. My point was it sounded like the two of us chose the right time to be incapacitated! It'll take time for the new boss to get the players' confidence back. We'll get there. 🏴☠️

Our kit looked great. It’s a shame so many players today didn’t deserve to wear it.

Just have to hope there are four teams worse than us in L1 this season.
By this time next week I fully expect us to have been dumped out of the cup comfortably by Crewe and we could be routed big time at Bolton.
Our poor players - No confidence my arse … seriously there are at least five taking the proverbial and protesting who need to be gone.
Massive January ahead…

O dear, the haters were saying what a lovely man the messiah was, he may well be a lovable bumbling orator, what he isn't is someone who can read the room; the current group of players are familiar with playing through the phases, so Tisdale 2 who never actually played in the premiership, but learnt his trade at Team Bath and then with Tisdale 1 at Exeter, decides to rip up the play book, and force players to simply hoof every ball forward in an aimless direction at the first opportunity and hope the defending side do not win the first ball. Ffs the market has moved on since the 1980s. He should not have been surprised that the Blackthorn contingent in unison during the first half told him that was embarrassing. I will be going to Crewe on Tuesday, lets hope Matty T has time to reflect and at least revert back to some form of contemporary tactics, if not, BRFC could be out of the Cup, and the remainder of the season will be another long uphill struggle. For all the negativity on here regarding Taylors first 2 games you all need to realise that Barton maxed out our decent sized playing budget on injury prone, ageing pros looking for a good payday along with too many youth loans that only benefit their parent clubs. Yes I will admit that on paper at the start of the season we looked strong but having seen them for nearly half a season it's obvious that they aren't here to work hard and bring us success! Taylors first 2 games have been poor on the eye but I think he's been given a bunch of talented players who are incapable of pulling their finger out and that's why they are plying their trade in league one. Big changes in personnel is much needed but we won't be able to get all of them in in January.

I am so, so tired of hearing that "on paper" we have an excellent squad. Agreed GG. It’s was all Hype from JB, unfortunately pretty much everyone of us bought into it. Reality check. The Players are not underperforming….they’re just bang average Div one Footballers….as the Table suggests.

Oh dear. Windy conditions didnt make for a good game. That was pretty awful football to watch though. Good job Hunt scored as his performance today was up there with worst of the season candidates. Can only think of Taylor playing well im struggling after that. Im sure things will improve over time as new patterns of play evolve. If they dont...this has relegation written all over it.

Think the wind had a big impact on the game. Looked like first half we tried o go long with the wind mainly behind us, second tried to play more on he ball into the wind. Not really sure what to make of it all. Evans and Grant played well, but often to deep. Collins came on and made mistake after mistake. Sill not sure about Vale, he got a fare amount of ball but failed to use it. Thomas was Thomas, good performance. Everyone made mistakes today, often due to the wind. What do you see good in Thomas' performance, apart from the "assist" for the goal I thought both him and Hunt had shockers on the right wing.

The first half was awful and apart from the first ten minutes of the second half, so was the second.
What do they do on the training ground? They can't pass or shoot. It really was not good enough. Many did not seem interested.
I am worried. A big shake up needed in January or we hope we survive this season and rebuild for next season. This squad is not what we were sold as being the best in years

Once again our Board have shown no consistency in their approach to appointing managers. Previously they went from a successful, hoof ball, expert in GC, to BG/PT, now they've gone from a possession based manager in JB back to seemingly hoof ball again under MT.

MT letting them play how they want right now I reckon. Bloke behind me today called it right, everyone’s moaning about tippy tippy at the back crying out for the hoof and when they do that it’s wrong too. For duck sake let’s get behind them.
Atmosphere Dam sh**e today, yeah ok not much to shout about but we’ve seen and been thru worst than this. Twelfth man coulda won this game for us today but we were stale.

To sing this is embarrassing after 25 odd minutes was more cringe than anything we saw on the pitch.

What do you see good in Thomas' performance, apart from the "assist" for the goal I thought both him and Hunt had shockers on the right wing. I don’t think Thomas has benefited from the new manager and a change in tactics. His instincts (and where he is best) are to drop into little pockets of space on the right and cut in. To me, especially in the first half, he was acting on instruction to try and make runs in behind and ended up doing neither. I think it’s going to take quite a while for MT to get his way of playing instilled and with some tough fixtures coming up we could be in the same boat as Birmingham fans where they’ve had to see their team going backwards while the new manager makes changes. I still think we’ve got some really good players but we’re not getting the best out of them and confidence is plummeting. Six or seven weeks ago, and with some nice fixtures coming, I really thought we’d have been in or close to the playoffs positions going into the christmas fixtures - now I think the season is pretty much over and I can’t wait for it to end. Not much to enjoy going to games at the moment.
