MT letting them play how they want right now I reckon. Bloke behind me today called it right, everyoneās moaning about tippy tippy at the back crying out for the hoof and when they do that itās wrong too. For duck sake letās get behind them. Atmosphere Dam sh**e today, yeah ok not much to shout about but weāve seen and been thru worst than this. Twelfth man coulda won this game for us today but we were stale. To sing this is embarrassing after 25 odd minutes was more cringe than anything we saw on the pitch. Spot on, the same idiots who sing the IRA song, unemployable in a job with responsibility, brain dead! The bloke has inherited a terrible squad, there is no strikers in the squad who can run with pace, we were all hoodwinked, well some of you were. *Edit - Letās not forget Topper said this is the best squad since Holloway, has anyone see Topper lately?

What do you see good in Thomas' performance, apart from the "assist" for the goal I thought both him and Hunt had shockers on the right wing. I donāt think Thomas has benefited from the new manager and a change in tactics. His instincts (and where he is best) are to drop into little pockets of space on the right and cut in. To me, especially in the first half, he was acting on instruction to try and make runs in behind and ended up doing neither. I think itās going to take quite a while for MT to get his way of playing instilled and with some tough fixtures coming up we could be in the same boat as Birmingham fans where theyāve had to see their team going backwards while the new manager makes changes.Ā I still think weāve got some really good players but weāre not getting the best out of them and confidence is plummeting. Six or seven weeks ago, and with some nice fixtures coming, I really thought weād have been in or close to the playoffs positions going into the christmas fixtures - now I think the season is pretty much over and I canāt wait for it to end. Not much to enjoy going to games at the moment.Ā I think we have some good individuals but the make up and balance of the squad is all wrong for me. Even with JCH I am not sure that we beat teams often enough. Taylor has a huge job on his hands to avoid a Dave Penney style revolt over the fact Mangan didnāt get the job

Some on hear say we were playing hoof ball, I thought we played too much across the back in a painfully slow way meaning we had to hoof it. If we played with more urgency, created space to pass quickly, we would not meed to hoof the ball. Having said that, hoof ball can work on occasions if you have a good target man but we don't.

Feels like weāre on our third manager of the season and that rarely ends well for clubs but I like our new manager and I think if he can get the players onside then weāll be ok this season in terms of safety. The reason for that is he seems like a strong character that wonāt put up with any sh**, I donāt think weāll go in to free fall like we did with the weak Garner. Itāll just take a few games and a transfer window and I think weāll be able to push on and improve on what Barton has ever achieved in league 1 with us , which to be fair was pretty much regelation form.

Our kit looked great. Itās a shame so many players today didnāt deserve to wear it. We looked and played like Thunderbird puppets ā¦ Without the GO

Hope all is well, Fuastus. Thank you. Sorry, wasn't a "woe is me" post. My point was it sounded like the two of us chose the right time to be incapacitated! It'll take time for the new boss to get the players' confidence back. We'll get there. š“āā ļø it wasnāt a great game and there was a clear lack of effort before half time when we did come out a little better but not much. Gibbons miles and miles away from being a league one player.

Just got back...
Where the weather is as miserable as our support.
Fantastic seeing some of you again, one esp from down saffff....hey, time takes its toll on all of us! Nice to plan for next week too, but that's a different story.
Onto less important things:
Transition. Patience. Acceptance.
These words will be used a lot during the coming weeks and months, but from what I saw today the show was sorry as I've seen in a while.
Get to the Mem quick. We're seeing the acceleration of the start of the end of some players careers with us, and perhaps that gas exodus might be more painful than others because some individuals are on borrowed time.
We are still lacking in some key areas, and too predictable with the ball at the back, but I liked how we tried to move it forward quicker - just we rarely found our man. This led to another disjointed, dysfunctional bundled result, a fair result, but where there was little to shout or sing about because too many players just didn't turn up or appeared to be going through the motions. You can feel the apathy around the place, it's oozing with negativity.
A real shame, because for all the criticism on and off the pitch, the new stand is a genuine sight to behold. It looks fabulous empty, which if we carry on playing this way will be more common than full.
And a wonderful celebration of our history. This should be celebrated with passion and pride. It comes to something when Stanton, Jones (mentioning the s!) and Hayles appear to get more applause and crowd going than the new manager? His team was booed off at half time....the 3 formers were applauded.
Ok...my m o m Connor Taylor. Again. Closely followed by, Luke Thomas. Jack Hunt played his part, and so did Harvey Vale and Evans bit part, but as for the rest.....well for me, each and every one of them have had form inconsistent, didn't turn up today and wouldn't give a fig if they left tomorrow.
But at least MT is playing most of the senior player and giving them a chance. Which the majority don't appear to be taking.
I think many Rovers fans are exhausted with being patient, but in this case it certainly will take time for MT to sort out whom he wants to stay.
We've gotta roll with it and take our time someone sang once....well next week we enter up that way twice and at this rate I can only see a zero return.
Don't book your Norfolk broad new year just yet!

On a different note did anyone see Whelan today? Bond, Ventre and Jaakola were all there.

Looked to me like a group of reluctant kids being sent out to play in the cold when they didnāt want to. Concerned that there isnāt a new manager bounce but maybe I too was hoodwinked over the strength of the squad. Nice to see a lot of familiar faces back in the m k j stand but what is terribly clear is that there isnāt a good seat to be had. Girders everywhere. New manger, new stand, flat as a pancake, same old blooming gas.

Awful. From possession football to a manager happy with a point against Cheltenham. In the space off a few weeks we have gone to looking over our shoulders as to what is below us.

Or perhaps they didn't have a clue how they were supposed to be playing in the first half, given in the second half we seemed to revert back to playing out from the back? It's baffling how MT though Gibbons would make a good LB when he's struggled all season at RB and even managed to get a red card in his last match, perhaps if MT had started with Grant at LB and not tried to totally change our style of play overnight we might have won our 140th commemorative match.

Ps.... It's a feeling I've not had since JAB first took over and he was just stood watching players going through the motions but not turning up.
Very similar.

Bit of context, happy with a point against Cheltenham having been 1 down at half time and one of the worst overall performances in years.

In my eyes itās a case of damned if you picked one damned if you pick the other. Both have been at fault for goals in previous games. So what can you do?
