Whelan walked out before he was asked to leave, had enough of the owners son and his false promises. FACT. What were the false promises? Considering we know pretty much nothing about our new owners are we to be concerned in your opinion? Surely the fact they don’t communicate with us is a concern anyway? |

I agree. I've aired my concerns regarding their communication plenty of times. Like I said something just feels off and I can see Taylor walking. No evidence just a feeling. |

Surely the fact they don’t communicate with us is a concern anyway? I agree. I've aired my concerns regarding their communication plenty of times. Like I said something just feels off and I can see Taylor walking. No evidence just a feeling. I’ve said since about two weeks after they came in that I wasn’t convinced and was worried by their lack of communication. We’ve got two directors that everyone assumes were from Goldman Sachs and a HR expert (they aren’t) that we’ve never heard a word form and don’t know what they specialise in. We’ve never heard a word from the son who’s around the club every single day. They might turn out to be absolutely spot on but something doesn’t feel right to me, I hope I am wrong! |

Makes you wonder how many of the players want out, JB was devisive but he did have loyalty. I doubt any other club would have offered JB a managerial job. I doubt players will want to leave unless agents can find them a better deal. |

Yatton todays Daily Mail ran an article that Matty Taylor cancelled the players Christmas break to Dublin, he never did it, the players did and were meant to fly yesterday and come back today, someone lied to the paper.
The owners son just didn’t want JCH, for all the sh** I gave Barton, he was badly let down on this one.
The had all the hallmarks of a Oldham situation on our hands.

I have heard similar things about broken promises made to Whelan and also a cancelled Christmas dinner.
I would also lean towards someone intentionally prevented us signing JCH, we managed to sign handful of others but couldn't get JCH done.
Of courses all rumour but no smoke without fire.

I don’t think the fire is out and I think we have a lot of smoke as well! There isn't a lot to get excited about right now, I'm still annoyed by the FM collapse. I am still not convinced if the rest of the Mem is just patched up. I am nervous to see what is actually done. The total silence from new owners also doesn't fill me with confidence. At least when Wael came in initially he was positive. To keep things positive and avoid a total collapse on the pitch aswell, MT really needs to be backed in January bringing in staff he trust but also a good amount of players, at least 4 imo. |

That’s how it usually works Wasn't asking you but thanks for the reply. So under JB everyone was happy and nothing got leaked out but now everyone is unhappy now he has gone and are leaking out info. All dosent add up and it feels like some people have some kind of agenda,I don't know what that is but in the last 2 months this forum has changed dramatically and been hijacked by a few posters. I bored of it all now and will take a break as can't be bothered with all this rubbish. |

There’s been a clear change in communication since the new people have been involved . I have to be honest and say I am amazed that as a fanbase we haven’t questioned more about the new directors and owners. I’ve been saying this on here for a while - these new majority shareholders are not “football people”; that might work at the level of Man U, Citeh, Chelsea, etc, where you can attract people who are not necessarily diehard or lifelong supporters and the clubs have a global or international footprint, but at our level the fan base are largely local, following long family traditions and are literally the beating heart of the club. And I suspect that they are either unwilling or incapable of engaging with us. I think they just regard us simply as consumers who don’t need to be included in any consultations or updated on anything unless they consider it necessary. I can see this going the way of Cardiff when Vincent Tan took over and the first thing he did was to change the club colours from blue to red and ditch the bluebird for a dragon - over 100 years’ worth of history and tradition binned in one fell swoop . . . |
