We would have won yesterday if we had signed him and he was playing. Could win the replay also if on the books. Instead we rely on a 35 year old for goals. Posh are 3rd without playing jch because they have somehow found other decent strikers who they will sell on for a vast profit in the future. It is a blueprint that we are unable to copy because of a lack of investment in a decent scouting system. They yo-yo from divisions because home attendances don't create enough income for sustainability.

Charlton paying half a mil for 6 months of a contract - lol.
I’d definitely take him but realistically we had £800k to spend a few months ago and at this point around the million mark we could find good AND younger for that money. Players who have the legs to press.

Well until its officially confirmed then it's not done but they won't f**k it up like we did with 3 weeks of the window left lol I still think we should got him. I've been told QPR and Hull want Collins for anything between £1-2 million this transfer window and TBH I'd take that all day long You keep on coming up with these "I've been told" posts, either you're just making it all up or somebody is just winding you up, as there's no way Collins is worth £2m when he's struggling to even get in a L1 side.

It'll now be interesting to see where we finish in the league over the next couple of seasons compared to Charlton, given they are presently 4pts behind us and have played one extra game, having just lost to us, there's really no way they should finish above us if we're equally as good this transfer window.

Not only a transfer fee to consider but also wages, bonuses, length of contract, pension contributions, national insurance contributions etc.

I would have only gone for him, if he we lose Martin. Don't need two strikers that won't press and move a lot.

All I have read is that Peterborough have accepted a fee of £450k and have given permission for JCH to talk to them about contract terms etc. As of yesterday these talks have not taken place.

Charlton forum saying " agents dragging their feet now " .Also 10k a week is rumoured as wage demand which I find laughable Like always it will be the club who comes up with the best package for the agents / JCH which may be Wrexham.

I think we should still go in for him. Martin hasn't signed an extension yet, would be annoying to end the window with one less striker.
JCH wanted to come here, he scores goals still even after not having a run in the Posh side. Surely 500K for a proven goal scorer at this level is worth it.

Easy to say sign him but where's the £1m+ going to come from if the owners no longer have it?
Getting the Liverpool Mafia off the wage bill could have well cost that if we had to pay them all off, as I make it 6 members of staff gone.

No need for it really, our club captain is a Scouser, Antony Evans and Rossiter are aswell. The owner has visions of getting to the Prem one day. But we need to find a way to the Championship first..so we need to cough up.

Good point but we have the unallocated FA cup money which will go some way towards the £500k needed plus misc.
