At least tonights result will show our owners what needs to be done to at least be a mid table Championship side. Hope you have deep pockets. Too late now. They should of acted before the Wycombe game . We could of won two away and this one . May as well start again in the summer. If the owners have money why not build squad now. Leave it all until summer and there is always a gelling period.

Leave it all until summer and there is always a gelling period. Because more better players will be available during the summer. Not many clubs that are going for promotion or trying to stay up, are going to sell key players in this window. If the right players are available now, then sign them if possible. If not, we might as well wait until we can get better.

Sadly the gaps are starting to show in our squad. We have a good core set of players in there, but we are a few steps away from being able to challenge at L1 level.
Our attack just isn’t good enough. Brown & Sinclair are complete passengers, probably taking up a lot of budget.
Cox needs improving on IMO.
We have no decent LBs, our CB options are limited and not strong enough in depth.
If Ward is injured then our midfield really drops off all over the pitch. Sadly I don’t think it’s a coincidence we’ve lost every game since he’s been out.
How many injured players do we have in the squad?
A lot of work to do in the summer, but I worry too much work. It would be nice to see a player or two come in this month to bed in

Easy. 😇 Joking aside, we should look to get started now, if possible.

Taylor says in his interview there are “offers out” so we are making moves. Let’s hope one is the Grimsby CDM. That position is now more key than CB and LB Sign Martin and a fast youngster on loan and let’s see where we get. Top 10 and some clean sheets will be nice.

If not, we might as well wait until we can get better. Yes and we'll be competing with every club for them. Ironically the winter window arguably puts us in a stronger position - we may have to pay a premium, but equally we're less likely to have as much competition for signings (due to them costing more).

Being really honest with ourselves, how many of our current squad do you think could handle playing week in and week out in the championship?

Never going to be an easy deal this one. Could be over already with that bid rejected.

Conteh is the perfect example of the club needing a structure in place for player recruitment, was available five months ago for half the price.

Being really honest with ourselves, how many of our current squad do you think could handle playing week in and week out in the championship? Across 180 mins vs Norwich we lost 4-2. Outplayed them for parts of both games. We would need changes to the squad to survive across 46 Championship games, but it's worth noting that is not what this squad is being asked to do...

We are also interested in signing Harry Kite from Exeter City, seems to be highly rated at Exeter, Hull were also interested in him .

If Grimsby signed him for £200k, they won't want him to leave for the sort of fee Rovers' would normally bid...
I would suggest they are looking at around £750k - who knows.
Nice to know there is ambition there, though.
