Why did Pompey wear that weird pink salmon shirt which looks like a pasty bloke from Middlesbrough after a few hours too long on the beach in Marbella? It's their 3rd kit. Their almost as bad 2nd shirt, which is oddly 80s retro style wiggly squiggly, doesn't clash with ours.

Possibly the worst kit I’ve seen down the Mem and there’s been plenty of contenders over the years. Was it 100 years since they last had to play ‘skins’? |

Great result ,well done to MT and squad, really good to see that kind of performance at home , can't beat a 90 + min winner, we have been on the wrong end of a few this season! Think what is becoming clear is that JB signed some very good players but lacked the tactical brain to get the best out of them, MT seems a far more astute manager tactically and it is beginning to show on the field, though many wanted JB to get it right we are starting to see that the decision to change managers was the right one, think JB and football has now realised management is not for him and has decided to concentrate on something he is very, very, good at , winding people up on twitter and podcasts ( what ever they are!)!! it seems on that front he has succeeded beyond all his expectations.!! think we can look forward to a strong second half of season and a very comfortable top 10 finish.

What are they going to do about the dark shadow across the penalty box going forward? Are there plans to put lights in the stand? Or modify the flood lights?

I hope so cos when he’s on it he’s the best player in league 1. All too positive this Thread! I normally very glass half full but I'm seeing this game really differently to almost everyone today! Collins was woeful today and was carried in my view. He should have been subbed off. Not Marquis! MT got away with the substitution. It killed the momentum and rovers could have lost the game because of it. It was after the substitution the Portsmouth dominated! Big shout to Connor Taylor. Completely dominated Colby Bishop. That takes some doing. Awesome! Collins is nowhere near his best at the moment and infuriates most of the time but…..he played a key part in both goals and that’s why he should always be on the pitch if fit imo |

Just a comment on Marquis and especially Collins as have seen a fair few negative posts and scores given out.
They made it a very tough day for the Pompey defence yesterday. Marquis never gave them a moment and was unlucky the ref didn’t have his back.
Collins was part of everything good we created, coming deep to find space, running at a nervous Pompey back line and generally making things happen. He was instrumental in both goals.
Understand why people (including me) get frustrated when he makes the wrong decision and we all know he can play better and score amazing goals which have dried up , but he has to start ahead of Brown every time. Give him a little respect!
Also. Wonder if we’ll renew Martin’s contract. Marquis did exactly what was needed, when he went off we lost that extra pair of legs closing down and suddenly Pompey had much more time. We didn’t get any balls into Martin so he was pretty ineffective
One more thing. Said before the game we could struggle on the wings with just a wing back against their over load. But because the team worked so hard we nullified that threat pretty much. Collins and Marquis were a key part of that.

MT said himself that if forward players aren’t scoring, they still need to be contributing and both Collins and Marquis did that all game yesterday. Both would be in my starting eleven at the moment over Brown and Martin. |
