Awful performance across the whole set up today. I would exempt Cox who made some great saves today. The best thing about today is it should have taught MT a lot about the squad. After endless running by Vale,Thomas and Collins for 3 games there us nobody to stand in for them when the energy is gone. As mentioned before Martin is a last 10-20 minute player who can exploit spaces tired legs and minds leave open. He is a dead weight if started in a game. I think we all feared the worst when we saw the teamsheet and also knew the tired legs that were also out there. MT will now know what his squad needs and who are passengers on our journey forward.

No idea how people don’t see the poor decision making of Cox. He’s made several really good stops, but equally he’s been rooted to his line for every cross and is simply not anywhere near good enough at this level. No upgrade on Belly whatsoever. Why oh why didn’t we go all out to get Ripley or someone in the Summer. Awful recruitment What a stupid statement to make. If it was'nt for him it could have been 5or 6. That’ll be the “several really good stops” I clearly mentioned in my stupid statement. Fact is, the poor basics are a mile off. You clearly have never played in goal or had much to do with the role if you think his basic positional play is good overall, today included. The reaction saves were very good as I said, but reflex saves alone don’t change a lack of dominance in your box or clear decision making unfortunately

Very young, inexperienced back 3, up against wiley old pros like Volkes (who should of been sent off). Easily predictable, same old. Two new experienced central defenders, new goalkeeper please. As for Wycombe as poor as I've seen this season, still beat us but doesn't mean much with our line up. Cox has been decent in the last two games and played well making some good saves today, I haven’t rated him until this last week but I feel he’s in his best form yet for us. I still want us to go out and bring a keeper in who’s ours , more experienced than cox though.

Thought Finlay laughing his head off after the game , and after playing like he did, was embarrassing for a captain of the club

What a stupid statement to make. If it was'nt for him it could have been 5or 6. Agree, decent shot stopper but he does need to improve his hesitancy coming out for the ball. It's why he is here though really That’s exactly my point. His reaction saves were very good today, his shot stopping. But a lack of presence from crosses is costing us.

MT has already said January will be fairly quiet. Will that change based on 1 game? All managers say that it would be crazy to say yeah we’ve got money to spend and are looking at this position and that position.

Let’s be honest, how many of us saw the line up at 2pm and thought “Sh*t!! - Woods & Grant and no Wilson to hold the back line - and could only see the negative. MT has some work to do after 2 great performances at home, we got the Horror Show scenario.

I think getting JCH into the building on deadline day has shown everyone that we have money to spend. If we really had no intention to sign him then it has done us no favours imo.

I agree, our keeper is just not dominant enough. Every team we play seems to have a bigger better keeper than us.

Yeah there have been games previously where a long ball has gone past our defence and he has either stayed in his goal or come out then changed his mind. I have no real faith at him with set pieces as he isn't commanding enough. It's his first season though, James Trafford was sent back by Accrington before being superb for Bolton and earning a big move.

Valiant effort at the end but ultimately we lost the game because we were poor and bullied in the first half and made too many defensive mistakes in the second half. With Wilson being injury prone we need to get connelly back from Loan and bring in at least one more centre half, we also need at least one more striker , having only 3 in the squad when we start with two in this formation isn’t enough. Obviously Taylor can see this and windows open now so hopefully he’ll sort it. I like him I think he’s going to be good for us but one thing I will say is this was the last game to play a not match fit Ryan woods . Woods has great vision and his passing is quality but he’s a player who needs time on the ball in a game we’re controlling , today was never going to be that kind of game and he was completely nullified. Mc Cormick would have been a more suitable player for away to Wycombe. Back down to earth with a bump , very poor but it showed the manager what’s needed in January if he had any doubts. Up The Gas On last seasons form and his recent results with Morecambe’s would Connolly get picked ahead of Grant. I think I’d even pick Hoole ahead of him in a back 3 or 5. We need someone new at CB not resorting back to Connolly. I’d agree about Woods. I wouldn’t have started him today - play Ward for as long as he could manage and then bring on McCormick.

The manager lost us this today, we are allowed to say this. Woods was a terrible pick, Grant played on as well. This today was a product of Barton and Jennings, Marquis would have made no difference. We simpy have no outlet upfront. Staying until the end, you l just never know! To be fair to MT, I’m not sure he had an awful lot of choice where Wilson, Ward & Marquis were concerned, due to this being the 4th game in 10 days. I do agree though with a lot of others in that Woods offers nothing and pairing him with Finley weakens and slows down our midfield, so sack him off back to his parent club this week please. Likewise Bogarde.

Connelly was brilliant for us 18 months ago and is now 18 months older and we have Taylor back now too who he excelled with. I think we’d be mad to write him off , he’s young and he’s ours not a loan. I’m not saying he’s the answer but he might be and if I was Taylor I’d get him back and work with him for the rest of the season and make a decision in the summer.

Two late goals against ten exhausted men does not excuse this horror show by Rovers. At one down against ten men with half hour left we should have been able to turn it round and win. Instead we fell asleep and imploded. Hope we can learn from this.

Finley’s been brilliant lately and generally good since signing for us and was the best of a very poor bunch in the first half. He’s easily good enough and he’s our captain.
