These sort of rules have been a long time coming. And let’s be honest, it’s a good one For those that don't smoke, or smile. Wait until they ban alcohol. I’ll drink to that 🥃

Nothing …. But it doesn’t make your opinion right as you’ve claimed .

Nothing …. But it doesn’t make your opinion right as you’ve claimed . So if there’s nothing wrong with it, then it’s good no? Some things are good, some are bad. Smoking, let’s be honest is bad. That’s not an opinion, it’s a fact. Fast food, on the whole, is bad. Stopping advertisements to a country full of obese children, is good. It’s not really an opinion, it’s just a good thing.

It may not be good for the hospitality trade ( some will like it others not ) , it’s not good for the likes of Bags and many others. So in your opinion it’s a good thing , to others it won’t be. Personally I’ve no problem with smokers/ vapers outside a pub as long as they are courteous and find a place that’s not down wind of others . Most do I think apart from the odd twat .

Based on that logic, nothing will be ever good or bad. No matter what you do, someone will be unhappy. Bags can still be advertised to, can still go in, can still order online. He just won’t see it on TV before 9pm. Can someone explain to me why that’s a bad thing? As for smoking, I wish they were. In London they’re certainly not. But that’s Londoners for you.

Bloody hell, I’ve been talking about the fast food the entire time! I’m with you on the fast food stuff ! 😂 The devil is in the detail though. What's fast food? A grilled chicken kebab with salad? A greasy doner with chips? A McDonald's breakfast porridge and coffee? A Big Mac with large fries? All these are consumed by customers of these establments. I don't know what fast food means. Will they be able to advertise only the healthier foods and not the nasty ones? Or will the whole company be banned from advertising because they seel less healthy stuff? How about Leon, which offers 'healthy' fast food and promotes itself as a fast food company? I can see more holes in this line of thought than a Leave voter's arguments for Brexit. I am feeling peckish now though.

The previous government considered a similar ban and did some research into it:
2.8 calories per day per child would – assuming *absolutely* no exercise – add 1 pound per three and a half years.
Thousands of small businesses put at risk, hundreds of thousands in advertising revenue lost, even charities affected as potentially you can't advertise bake sales any more.

Nah. And if you don't mind me throwing something out there, if, as a Country, we were £3 trillion in the black rather than being £3 trillion in the red, do you think any ban would be lined up? On alcohol or fast food? Anything that requires NHS treatment as a result of choice.
