Good to have him back and hopefully he has gained some valuable experience whilst away.
Was our best defender at Pompey first game of the season and we were under the cosh after he went off and Taylor came on who looked rusty and off the pace.

With an extremely experienced defensive coaching team of MT, McAllister and Kevin Bond you have to hope that Connolly will develop his game.
Along with Taylor,Hoole,, Gordon and Ryan Jones.

Did JB stupidly let him become cup -tied? I can never see the logic of letting players become cup-tied, unless we intend selling them to the loaning club at the end of the loan period.

Really pleased with bringing the band back together, Taylor, Connolly were a terrific partnership during the promotion season; also, need to bring in an experienced centre back (and a left back) then the outfield defensive unit will be sorted.

I’m really pleased about this. Connolly was superb during promotion season then seemed to lose confidence. I’m super hopeful about this return and believe this new culture will bring the best out of him. Potential to be a top, top footballer.

Was disappointed Beefy went out on loan. I think he can still be a good player for us. Hopefully he comes back and plays like he did when he originally joined us two years ago.

Hopefully he won’t be required too much as his loan to a lower division hasn’t been a great success. A preseason under MT and his staff will hopefully make in to the player we all want him to be next season.

Perhaps suffering a crush fracture to his spine knocked his confidence a bit, hopefully, that's returned following his good loan spell at Morecambe, MT seems to have recalled him at the first chance he's got.

Hope he proves me wrong, supported sending him out as I don’t think he’s Div1 standard.
Not sure where all the confidence has come from now to make everyone think we are getting an improved player back.
Taylor has made Finley, Evans and Thomas look new players, maybe he can do the same with this lad. He was at his best as well with defensive man Bond working with him who Barton moved on.
