Should’ve cashed in when we could, if someone would’ve actually come in for him. Great year last year but he really isn’t what he’s been made out to be, imo. Would do welll to get anywhere near £800k-£1m.

Not trying to cut him some slack here btw and it is annoying he's refused to play but is that not standard from most players nowadays when there's a transfer in the offing? Don't want to injure themselves etc.

Up to the club to play hardball here. If Collins does not want to play because a transfer is in the offing it’s quite simple. Just tell the club concerned we want a million minimum and you can have him, don’t roll over and take less. Very disappointing attitude from Collins.

Depends who he goes to, but a player who is massively out of form(the assist stats are meh), looks disinterested and has zero confidence,is probably worth 500k max. That's only because he had a good year fairly recently and won the award last season. Most of that 500k will be in add ons too, plus a hefty sell on clause. No loss imo.

I did say he appeared to be not interested for awhile. His mind has been elsewhere for awhile. If he has basically refused to put himself forward for selection today. That is so unprofessional and clearly he will never play in the blue and white quarters again. Maybe his agent has planted the seed in his mind and that has affected his mindset?

Aaron Collins is supposed to be a professional. Well he clearly is not acting professionally

MT on Aaron Collins' absence to BBC Bristol: "That’s not my decision, it’s Aaron’s decision. We understand that there’s a lot going on behind the scenes in terms of what might happen over the next few days in the transfer window. We had that discussion with him yesterday and he didn’t feel as though he was quite in the position to be available for today." Fair enough, just dock him a week's wages, assuming the club wanted him to play. My guess id that if big money is on the table the club would not want to risk injury any more than he would.

I can just imagine Ian Holloways reaction to a PROFESSIONAL footballer withdrawing his service to his club.

He didn't refuse to play, he requested that he wasn't picked. If MT had told him he wants him in the squad then he would have been in the squad although probably flat and unmotivated.
Better for a player who doesn't want to play to not play and be replaced by someone who does, possibly reflected in the current 2-0 scoreline.
I actually find it refreshingly honest.

Tomato , tomatoe stuff. He left the manager with no option.

Problem is, is he just acting disinterested and off form to force through a cheap deal, then he'll suddenly find his form at his new club? It's hard to believe how bad he's been lately compared to a year or so ago.

There's talk he could be off too the Saudi Arabia League. I guess with the owners' contacts in the Middle East it's possible. Hope so as that way we certainly get that £1m plus.

what about Thomas, isn't he worth anything? Can't imagine anyone above us would want him so unless a Wrexham or Stockport get involved then I can't see him wanting to take a sideways move. what he's one of our best players, I'm sure loads above us would love to have him
