I’d also heard Charlton. I suspect it will end up being Wrexham for big wages - they were paying their striker £5k pw in the conference so probably able to offer a lot bigger wage than he’s on with us. I don’t think the fee will be as much as people think. A year ago he’d have been worth £1.5m but his form for the past year has probably brought that down to £0.5m. Still enough to bring JCH in. !!!! Wrexham don't seem to be paying big transfer fees? Although perhaps they think AC is worth pushing the boat out for. I don’t think it’s going to need a really big fee to get him. You might be right about pushing the boat out for someone they think will get them across the line and into league one - might end up effectively paying for himself if promoted.

Don't think so as they just sold Nelson Abbey to Olympiakos for an undisclosed fee. Think it's like Wigan of old where it's a "take what fees we can get for our sellable assets" type deal.

No surprise if aaron is off . He has been treated like dogshit this season by fans. Despite what he has previously done and he is one of the top goal providers this season in league one. Good luck to you AC. Thanks for the memories. Perhaps he’s been treated like dog sh** by supporters because he hasn’t put any effort in since nobody wanted to sign him last Jan for a decent fee and Wales chose not to pick him. Perhaps he needs to have a think about why that might be. Bolton, not so great. Wrexham? Having a laugh hope he has fun in league 2 with the Hollywood wankers. Has put in plenty of effort...as a striker..however not been the goal scorer he was,as the club have played a different formation and have different personal. Always faking fouls apparently, yet didnt hear CM being called out today(and all his games) for the many many times he hit the floor claiming fouls...he never got and subsequently rovers losing possession. Its what strikers do.

From what I've seen of Sam Smith he's perfect for the system we currently have. Could play as either the second striker or alone up top. Not electric, not slow. But had a good turn him. Very Matty Taylor.
Hoping this happens.

Matt Taylor says 2 clubs were in for Aaron Collins but now only 1 as the other club pulled out. It sounds pretty much a done deal. The rumours seem to be either Bolton or Wrexham? 🤔

I think you’re wrong. I don’t know if we’ll spend exactly what we get in but to say not a chance we’ll replace him is a bold statement. You think the amateurs we have running this place atm, a few days after MT said “there’s no scouting in players that will bring options to the table” will be able to turn around a big money signing in the space of a few days? Not a chance for me. Best chance we have is Matt being allowed to bring in someone he knows So there is a chance of Matt being allowed to replace Collins if he leaves ?

So what are we hoping for?
Think it will be hard for him to return to the side now, so it’s all about the fee
Personally I’d be overjoyed with anything above 600,000 or so
Go out and target a proper No 9
Would also like to see another CB but is that being greedy?
With MT showing faith in one of our in Jed, maybe worth seeing if Greenslade is worth looking at? Maybe the gems are under our noses!

Sam Smith incoming is what I heard from a reliable bloke on the terraces today, all depends on the fee for Collins though. Don’t know much about him but had a look on wiki . 6 ft 1 Averages a goal every two games this season 6 from 14 which is the most prolific he’s been, averaged a goal every 3 games for Cambridge before that and hasn’t had that many appearances for a 25 year old. From that he sounds more like a replacement for Marquis than Collins, I wouldn’t mind if we sold Collins for decent money , loaned out Marquis ( who would buy him )and brought in smith and a quick poacher type as well.

Since Wrexham are rich they can give us 850k + 20 percent sell on 😉
