Before everyone kills the lad, he’s been treated bad by the club. We offered him an extension around the time JCH was about to sign, the deal was agreed and you can guess who pulled it. His name has also been hawked around all over the place for last 2 weeks as well by club. Personally I will always thank him and clap him when he returns to face us one day. But even before his contract issue this season, his form since last Christmas has been bad and I would take £500k plus for him. All the best Aaron Stinks of the owners idiot son again causing mayhem.

Yes. And again. And again. And again. When will he learn, I wonder?

Unlike some of the dickhead comments on here , I’ll appreciate what he’s done for our club. In his pomp he was excellent running at oppo defenders and casing havoc. Also chipped in with a lot of classy goals. Lost his way this season but that happens with plenty of players after a while. Best he moves on for both parties. Thanks Aaro Agree 100 pc - but I think for all parties it’s best he moves on just hasn’t been the same player he once was - he just wants out i m o good luck Arron 💙 thanks for some great memories 💙 Utg

Wrexham fan here, I come in peace. Don't trust that TC9 account on Twitter. Thanks to the brilliant genius of one Elon Musk, anyone can get free engagement by paying for a "tick" and earn literal pennies by mentioning us. That same account linked us to so many players this month that it's absurd - including the likes of Lawrence Shankland who's either going to Rangers or in a Championship team. Before I get too distracted, we play in a 3-5-2 with wingbacks, and away from home if we're chasing a goal we switch to a 4-4-2 diamond. A lot of our fans are slightly concerned about Collins' attitude, but also how would he fit with us. I noticed that last season he bagged most of the goals and assists by playing left wing, which undoubtedly is (only) slightly concerning. He's very versatile, no doubt, and Phil Parkinson loves those kinds of players. Interested in your opinions Gasheads

I don't actually think it's attitude that's an issue tbh, it's more confidence and that's been in the ditch due to poor form. At his confident best he's very good, positive running with the ball and is a fantastic crosser into the box. Has scored some crackers for us but can miss the easier chances. For whatever reason he's been poor by his standards for a good while for us, but still is good enough to provide a decent amount of assists. I'm sure it's the confidence that's caused the missed chances, that's not down to attitude or application. More recently even the chances have dried up a bit, probably also due to him being less sure. If he does end up at Wrexham, I'm confident he'd do well and would cause havoc with League 2 defences. He's also a nice guy with an infectious smile. I hope it works out for him, he's definitely worth a million of your owners money 🙂

If you sign the 2022 version of Aaron Collins then you are getting a brilliant player, certainly for League 2, scores all types of goals, creates plenty, very skilful with trickery, flair and arrogance.
If you sign 2023/early 2024 Aaron Collins you are getting a pale shadow of the above, doesn't score and his skill, trickery, flair and arrogance has just vanished, and he looks completely disinterested. One small plus he does still create plenty though as his assists tally shows.
Hope this helps?

Would definitely be an asset to ensure you get promoted but not sure you need help ? This year agree he’s joint top player for assists but would need to check that as he’s been awlful recently. This year he can’t beat his man, doesn’t chase back when he looses the ball and the worst for me is the refs won’t give him a free now as he spends most of the time on his arse when he gets tackled .He's a marked man in that regard even the few times he should have been given a free he doesn’t get the call. IMO if you get him good luck as for my mind we tend to play with 10 MEN when he’s in the side on recent form. UTG Stoney

Depends. What's your traffic light situation up there? There's a few that would happily use that as an insertion here...

I don't think Azza has been the same since the first rumours of his value, and potential move upwards etc started circulating. This was inevitable following the period when his form and performances were earning rave reviews. I think he wanted and expected a big move at that time and he would have gone with all our best wishes i think. Since then his form has gradually fallen away giving rise to frustration for player and fans , even more upsetting is his apparent less than perfect attitude leading to him making the very unprofessional decision 'I do not want to play'. Many fans will ,not surprisingly, be upset by this. This was IMHO a big mistake by him, unlikely as it was that he would start yesterdays game and will have cost him much good will, hope the situation is resolved quickly now so his standing with fans does not sink any lower, Good luck Azza and thanks for the memories.

Basically refusing to play is a pretty sh*tty way to go about things, it could also backfire for him as he still has 18 months on his contract, so as Matt Taylor mentioned post match it's completely in our hands, if Wrexham, Bolton or any other clubs with interest don't match our valuation then he ain't going anywhere.
It's also a bit billy big b*llocks when his form has continued to rapidly decline for a long while now.

His goals were vital in our promotion season and his goals and assists helped to keep us out of a relegation battle last season. We could have cashed in on him in the summer but every wanted silly money and it doesn't appear that many clubs were interested in him anyway.
MT did mention in his post match interview that any club would have to meet our valuation, it'll be interesting to know what that is. Rovers of the past would accept the first bid that came in for any of better players! If the club don't want to let him go on the cheap then there's still a chance he will still be here after next week. Especially if only one other club are really interested in him right now.

I’d love to know how the conversation went between AC and MT. Has MT thrown him under the bus a bit? Admitting his mind is elsewhere and saying he may be better off not selected is a bit different than outright refusal to play - would MT have picked him to play anyway? AC is popular with the staff and players and I can’t see him refusing to play if MT wanted to select him for the matchday squad. Anyway, hopefully the deal gets done now and we get enough time to sign a replacement. Any fee over £500k would be a bonus given his form has dropped so rapidly over the past year.

Hope we bleed Wrexham for a really decent fee. I think he’ll be a success there and I still think he’s a top player for us.
Can’t stand Wrexham, obviously buying success and I hate how the media cozy up to them
