Not sure just running around the pitch is "working his socks off for the team" he was shockingly poor v Exeter, it's not clear if he's been playing poorly recently to push through a move or is totally off form, if the latter then can a player just rediscover form after a big money transfer, if not his new club's fan won't be impressed with his signing!

Given his age, numbers he’s reached over the past few seasons, ok even with lack of quality recently he still really works his arse off for the team. He must surely be reaching nearer the million pound mark. Given Conteh is worth £300 k. Good luck to him, feel he’s ran his rovers race. Look forward to the excitement of welcoming a new striker before deadline day. Still buzzin from yesterday!! UTG Interesting perspective. £300k for an in form league 2 player with less than a season under his belt vs an out of form (for a very long time) forward who has only really ever had one good season as a forward. It makes it look like we got a really good deal with Conteh.

They say that the January market is an inflated one, so if he's off? Let's see an inflated price! Hope we play hard ball as he has 18 months left. Got a feeling he will still be here at the end of the window. Exactly this. We don't need to sell him. Wrexham want him, make them pay 750k for him You are always buying potential, assumption he will go there and do well. So show us the money for that.

The thing is the window is getting shorter...
We don't want to put ourselves in a position where we sell and then other clubs know we need another then hold us to ransom..
We almost need to get his replacement first and if nobody comes in for him, hopefully he bucks up his ideas and regains his form

Personally I think £750k is a value we can get in the summer. So that's the basement value.
Anything less and we might as well keep him until May.

The wording of this is quite important.
I'm thinking refusing to play as tantamount to gross misconduct and breach of contract?
Asking for time out because of mental and/or physical health problems deserves some empathy, and consequently some help.
Either way, the team won't benefit from pressures put on. And none of us will ever really know, but there's a huge difference between the two.

Club need to show some steel. Name a price and don’t buckle UTG

We do have similar options as he's not really operated as a striker, Brown didn't feature at all yesterday but I'm still hopeful Taylor can bring the best from him. It might not always be the case, but we didn't really miss Aaron yesterday, although I wouldn't be unhappy if he stayed and contributed

I think confidence effects him in a big way. When he first came here, he struggled with his end product. But when he got going and was high on confidence, he was like a different player. A move might help him rediscover his form, but if he gets off to a bad start, he could continue to fall away. The drop in form started when he was apparently close to a Wales call up. Did he put too much pressure on himself? He seems to be playing under a lot of pressure and lacking confidence. I would sell him, if our demands are met, every player has a price.

Yesterday he was hung out to dry by the manager telling the press he didn't want to play. Would have been quite a few players in the efl who are in collins position at this time of the year and the usual comment is they have an injury. Now if the move doesn't happen and up up staying will get nothing but grief by some if he doesn't score or preforms a 10 out of 10. Its a good job it was MT saying that and not JB else there would be a million page thread on how bad that was.

We must sale him on our terms if we can’t then send him out on loan he has proved by dropping himself he has lost respect for the club

Makes me laugh, I said before Wrexham were keen but put off by the asking price! That may change and they may come back in but as it stands if he leaves it won’t be for Wrexham As I said (again) Wrexham no longer keen due to the asking price. Bolton is where he’ll probably end up if he goes before the window closes. x.com/danjhargraves/status/1751554235739566340?s=46

And none of us will ever really know, but there's a huge difference between the two. Don't see the problem in AC making himself unavailable. What would we rather have happened he played, been distracted and continued to walk around and dive around. It was very sensible and made it very easy for MT to pick a team that was focused on playing for Bristol Rovers. Finley yesterday who chased back yesterday, after their No 16 danced passed few of our players, putting in a last ditch tackle is not the determination we would have got from AC. If AC wants to go then let him go as long as it is the right price for Bristol Rovers. If he stays, then ease him back in from the bench. He may enjoy playing for the Gas again. If he went for near 1mil. A cheeky 200k bid for JCH a day before window closes has to be worth it. I did think Bolton went bust though, so where they getting 1 mil from.

Sam Smith incoming is what I heard from a reliable bloke on the terraces today, all depends on the fee for Collins though. I’ll have whatever he was smoking!

I see we've turned down a bid of £600k from Bolton. Interesting.

If it's true that the owner's son offered Collins a new contract back in Sept and then pulled it that stinks. It also, for me, puts a completely different light on his performances afterwards. No wonder he looked pi$$ed off and disinterested. I think if most of us were offered a wage rise by our employer and then had it taken away we'd feel the same. No issue with him not playing yesterday either if the club have been actively seeking to offload him.

People honestly think we are in a strong position here and will get more money for him in the summer, with even less time on his contract, than we will in a January window that has 3 days left
Honestly 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

We need to become like Peterborough
